Is that a 1st or 2nd generation car?

I've driven a 1st generation A Class and had no problem with the clutch that I can recall.

What have you been used to driving as it could just be that the clutch is lighter than you are used to, which can often seem to be over sensitive until you get used to it.

If it doubt get a dealer to take a look.
