One step closer to fully implementing their new design language is exactly what Mercedes-Benz is. A gallery featuring the new SL-Class was leaked earlier this week ahead of its offical reveal at next week’s Los Angeles Auto Show, and we’re thrilled to show you the refreshed face for the SL-Class.

From browsing through all of our photos of the new car, you might think it looks a bit AMG GT-ish. We agree. The front end of the new SL-Class adapts elements from the sportier and faster AMG GT including the arched headligts which actually include LED running lights too. The front end features a pair of larger air intakes too and looks rather elegant compared to its predecessor.

And that’s due to Mercedes’ new design language. We all know the SL-Class and we’re still dreaming about the fourth generation, and the new SL-Class kind of captures the essence of the older models while still fitting within the new design language. The new SL-Class is so much sleeker and dynamic designed compared to previous generations.

You know what the older model looked like and what the new SL-Class looks like, so you’ll be able to compare them to each other yourself. That’s when we’re only talking about the design of course, since the technical details about the refreshed SL-Class are still a mystery. According to the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, some models receive a nine-speed automatic transmission and of course the Active Body Control to lean into corners.

Interior wise it looks like a proper Mercedes featuring large air vents on each side of the huge display in the very middle of the car. The AMG shifter looks like every other AMG shifter, and there’s really not much new to see here. Did I forget to mention the huge analog clock on the dashboard?

Take a look at this blue Mercedes-AMG SL 65 with its V12 biturbo engine and hang on. We’ll tell you more about this model when it’s finally revealed next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

I think the front looks a bit too much like the rest of the Mercedes range but then again, the front of every Audi/BMW/Mercedes look identical these days. Is there any specs to it? I'm expecting this model to have at least 630HP as the old SL65 has 600HP.
 
Sorry for double post but I think the title could be slightly better.

Currently it says Mercedes-AMG SL65 2015 but I think it should be Mercedes-AMG SL-Class (R231) SL65 2015.

At least that's how I did it for my SL500 R230 suggestion.

Both Mercedes and BMW refer to their model lines separately from the individual specifications. The Mercedes-Benz A250 is, for instance, an A-Class, while the BMW 330d is a 3-Series. Please also be aware of this when giving your Suggestion thread a title:

Mercedes-Benz A250 --> Mercedes-Benz A-Class A250
BMW 330d --> BMW 3-Series 330d

This will not be required for BMW's halo M models and the newest Mercedes-AMG cars.

Right, missed that part. But I think the model code (R231) should still be added.
 
That's actually the SL550, so it doesn't have the "V12 BITURBO" badging on the side vents the chrome trim and the "AMG" badge on the front grille.
