Mercedes Benz Facelift? Erlkönig? On German Autobahn - Update 24/10/13

I must say that I am really enjoying Mercedes currently prevalent design language (the badge is ostentatiously large and the headlights generously proportioned, but I can live with that). The new V-series interior is especially sublime (sans the conspicuous touch-screen unit; they got lazy here):

Why more manufacturers don't create interiors for their vans (and especially their commercial trucks) that mimic their passenger car models I just do not understand:

Seriously Toyota, a $40k + 2013 interior need not be this jocularly bland.
 
Saw a 4 cars convoy of test mules yesterday. Connected through radio devices on the roof. Anything special here?

CLS facelift maybe? Hard to tell. More likely testing new crosswind detection technology if those devices are on the roof.
