Hi everyone, I recently came across an SL600 and began tuning it, I'm not having a whole lot of luck with it, I see that the mid range turbo gives 1,057 ft lbs of torque with 1,004hp and the high range turbo gives 938 ft lbs of torque with 1025hp, I'm kind of curious as to which turbo give better and more consistent times. I'm also wondering if there is anyone out there that would be willing to give me a base tune for this car, I'd like to be able to run at least 9.33's with it and then I can tweak it from there to break 9.2's. If there is anyone out there kind enough to hook me up with a good base tune that would be much appreciated, thank you in advance :)
 
STAGE 2 will give you better times. You just have to shift earlier than if you had a stage 3
 
Do I need a higher top speed to get it to bog more into that powerband, the point where i get max power with the mid range is 5,600rpm, I'm not really sure what my top speed should be to get it into this powerband...

yes, your top speed will have to be higher id say in the 180's-190's

and make it a 1-2 quick shift

I'm currently at 186 at the top right, so at least I got one thing right lol. How far to the right do I have to go with 1st gear and where would I put 2nd gear? Right now I've got 1st and 2nd all the way to the left and I'm runnin 9.37's with a 2nd gear Launch

Just figured out the 1 2 quick sift :D now I'm running 9.330 BSL and 9.315 RPM launch. Now I just have to solve the mid range problem, I get a slightly better 0-60 then the top time for this car but then my 0-100 is .050 slower, not sure how to fix this but I'll figure it out I guess, any help would still be greatly appreciated

1st full left
2nd 25-30% to the left to the point it near bogs 3rd close to 2 about 75%
4th5th full right

There's a decent base tune for you

Guess I'll work on it more tomorrow, not sure what else to change, maybe I need a higher top speed
 
Decided to work on it a bit more tonight and this is what I got after a complete change to the suspension and transmission with a new LSD, previous LSD was at 5 5 5. I know the G's r higher than usual, but with my previous LSD suspension, and transmission I was getting between 1.27 and 1.33 with the new changes to the toe, camber, and dampers I'm getting between 1.34 and 1.41. I can assure you all that I wasn't running SRF, with SRF it hits 1.54+ G-Force. Anyway here's my new time, pretty sure this is the record but I could be wrong, maybe someone has one that's faster but just hasn't posted it yet, still can't post the pics so I'll post the links to the pics on my Photobucket

I want to take your word for it but there's is no way for someone who was asking for help a few days ago can not only beat, but smash the record. Dampers and LSD don't even improve Gs or times. Can you record the run? I'm sorry for doubting you if it was legit, but it is highly unlikely.
 
I see where you're coming from, I'd probably do the same thing. Yes I was asking for help, but with that help and finally learning how the car works I managed this time, only got it once though, I think it was one of those fluke runs lol, I don't have a camera to record this with at the moment so if this time isn't accepted that's fine but I did have a time of 9.272 not to long before I redid my suspension, I'm sure that would be accepted? I'll get a pic of that if you'd like
