This behemoth of a car is Mercedes ill fated attempt at setting a land speed record in 1939. Six wheel drive, powered by a 3,000 bhp 44.5 litre V12 and designed by Ferdinand Porsche, the T80 has an estimated top speed in excess of 400 mph.

And it can even turn corners, since its speed record attempt was planned to be on a stretch of cordoned off Autobahn...

The T80 would be a fine rival for the Audi V16 and Alfa TZ3 on GT...:D

...Which means it may only be slightly better at corners than the Auto Union that we have already.
 
WOW!!! THAT'S INSANE!!!! 3000HP, 44,500cc, 6WD and 400MPH, it can smoke a Red Bull X2011, but these youngsters and noobs will die for this car, and eventually cost Cr. 20,000,000 when it gets to GT6...

Now THIS would be the fastest car in GT if Polyphony Digital included this.

Here's some interesting stuff I found on Wikipedia:

It had a connection with Nazism as Adolf Hitler approved the idea and he thought of the T80 as another propaganda triumph of German technological superiority. Also, the (targeted) top speed was 470 MPH (Holy 🤬!) It made it through WW2 and is currently at the Mercedes-Benz Museum at Stuttgart, Germany.

Either way, this should be added in the game.

'Actual' top speeds and 'targeted' top speeds are very different things.

And just about every technological achievement from Germany from the mid-30's to mid-40's is be linked to the Nazi party.

But regardless of whether or not it'd hit 470mph, as you say it would comfortably become the game's fastest car (thing?).

Supposedly, the top speed is 400, faster than the X2011 (although estimated). One thing is for certain, it has more horsepower than the X2011.

Also, thanks for notifying me of my mistake as I meant to say targeted top speed instead of actual targeted top speed.
