Three launches in the space of a day. And all within an hour of each other, or so I'm told. We already know what the livery looks like, but we're all looking to see what kind of actual design they produce. Martin Brundle was talking with Ross Brawn before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and quoted him as saying the team's 2010 car would look more like the Red Bull RB5 than the Brawn BGP-001.

And here it is:

The nose looks broken, the air intake is pretty funky and although you can't see it, they've got a shark-fin that points downwards and looks pretty sharp.

Apparently Schumacher and Rosberg will both test today. That strokes me as being a bit odd, since surely you'd want all your early laps done by the person who can give you the msot feedback?

And who do you suppose that is? The person who drove in the new regs for 2009 or the person who's been retired for three years?

I'm sure Nico Rosberg is quite a capable driver, Frank Williams thinks highly of him, and so do the team at Mercedes. This isn't the Schumacher Show ya know.

I never said that man was Schuamcher - though I do believe it given his boundless experience and seemingly-psychic link with Ross Brawn - only that I thought they'd give the early testing miles to the best man for the job.

That car looks fantastic, I can maybe even already say it'll be the best looking car on the grid? The only that remains is hoping that Nico won't be put in a -second driver to help Michael- position. I could easily see that happening seeing the Brawn-Schumi combo, but I really hope we'll finally get to see Nico's full potential. He'll be my favourit driver of the season anyway, no matter what happens.

It looks awesome. But I agree, the nose looks almost broken. Sure there's a good reason for it. As a die hard Schuey fan and also speaking as someone who wants Nico to do well, could this be this years "double diffuser"... I.E. Give the team a headstart?

It looks really impressive, it's the best looking car so far, although its quite close with the mclaren.

Right let's get a testing thread going so we can avoid cluttering the forum up even more.

Also, put a Formula 1 tag on this thread. Don't be lazy now.

I want to like this car and team, but boring Silver and the fact its Schumacher stops me from doing so. I'll possibly be supporting Ferrari once again after 12 years of boring old corporate-ness, they seem to be going all Italian again.

But definitely a nice car and I like the Petronas green bits.

The silver isn't a brilliant identifier at distance, it kind of blurs as a whitish/greyish colour, not really shouting "Mercedes-Benz" at me like the Renault does, but I guess you can't really do much with silver, though it could have used more styling with that black or green paint.
Oh the irony of my favourite team plummeting to being possibly my least favourite. Still will be enjoying the master at work though, just as I enjoy Hamilton despite not being a fan.
