Hey, whats up. I was playing this game, and I realized one thing. Almost all the mercedez cars are not worth a d@mn. Sorry to express myself, but they are all very expensive and they are not worth the money. I could buy a Japanese car for half the price and with more horsepower.

I have a question. What car is really good to compete in the European Car series under Amateur Mode. Because I have Mercedez CLK , the last one, which I though was good. It is good but not good enough like to win races. It is hard to handle. To turn correctly through a curve u have to brake too much. It is not like turning with a Lancer. And worst of all, I cant find a car that can go faster than that Opel Speedster. See this car, go and u guess it has 700 hp  . The max that I can put in the Mercedez CLK is up to 605 hp  . Need help.

My CLK Touring Car is my primary money-maker, IMO it handles perfectly, it's very fast with proper tuning. Only problem is mine is so low to the ground that when driving up the hill in Trial Mountain, it lets loose a shower of sparks from underneath the car. If you have this car, and need some easy money, just do the Amateur Silver Arrow Series over and over. 20,000 for 1st place with 2 lap races; it really doesn't get any better!

Well, depends on how much $$$ u got. If you've got over 1 mill. i would suggest the Penzoil Nismo (750,000) or the Viper racer (1 mill.) If your short on doe than i would have to say the Best Zonda u can buy, around 350,000.
The better cars in the game are won. You cant buy the best cars. I would suggest getting the IA liscence and do some endurance races. The enduro races are butt-easy..they just take time, averging an 1.15-2 hours they are boring. But if you win a good car its worth it. After that the game is easy. Until you hit the elise races, pro vits, and other stuff.

Well, if I remember correctly, there is not a limit on the type of car you can race in that series. My suggestion is to find a better car and race it then. I am not 100% sure if I used my Evo VII to win that series or not...

If you have the Super License, find a good fast car, "stretch its legs", and win the Like the Wind race. Take the Mazda 787B from winning that, and then you can win about every series with your eyes shut. If no Super License, then find a better car, tune it well, and see how you fair against those guys there.

Good luck! :cheeburga

...and welcome to the forums... :D

By the way, I had to buy a Mercedes to race the Silver Arrow races, the CL600 drives like a boat out of water!!

They are good to a point, but after amture league if you want to compete well you cant really use it, specially against the 787 or the gt1 or the r390 unless you never pit and that gets interesting, but good luck.

That's the idea! I thought that more expensive was better!, maybe the Mercedez CLK handles worse than CL600. Maybe CL600 is the best car to win.

But one thing I am sure. Dont rely too much on those cars, because if u do, u have a lot to lose. Especially in the European Championship series.

Too bad u dont have many chances in the Silver Arrow Series.

I bought the CLK 55 for the Silver Arrow races. It's cheaper than the CL600,is about 20% lighter and has only slightly less horses than the CL600.It's ok after tuning, but the CLK Touring Car is pretty good :)

The only reason to get a CLK road car is to run the Silver Arrow series, once you've done that let the bugger rot in your garage! ;) :p

The CLK Touring Car is good but if we're talking German Touring Cars then IMO the Astra handles tighter and takes tuning a lot better. Shame it looks like an Escudo! :irked:

I've used my CLK Touring on a number of occasions. Great car I must say.

What are you talking about? I took my CLK Touring into the German Touring and whipped ass. :D

I did the same thing. The CLK 55 drives much easier than the CL600. But they both suck compare to the CLK Touring car. It drives good and it looks beautiful :cheerful:

Yeah I won the German Touring with the CLK, it's when I put it up against the LM bunch I found that, between the CLK and the Astra, it was the Astra that handled the competition better - in my house anyway. ;) :D

It's all about OPEL POWER :D

hello
like made in holland said, its a lot easier to win the Silver Arrow series when youre racing a fully-tuned CLK55. it accelerates faster and its a hell of a lot better at steering than the CLK600. btw hi, im new here.

Welcome along Terminal :)

Tigra - OPEL POWER. Mmm... I sense bias here... :D

I used the CLK55 for silver arrow also. I kept it cause it looks good and drifts well. The CLK Tourer is sweet but that Astra is a peppy sob.

I used the SLK230 Kompressor for the Silver Arrow and several other races early on. It handles a lot better than the CLK55 or the CL600, weighs less, and costs less. I like the car a lot and it is among the highest-mileage cars in my garage.
