Aww, just go with it, JCE. It simply is a badass car. 👍

Love the Marauder, not too Jazzed by the 'vert.
Don't get me wrong, it is a nice looking machine, but it don't "get my blood up".

However, as an "old guy" hoping for honest to god Grampa-hood in the next 5 years, I dig the Marauder.
It's fast, pretty, and can hold a coupla of baby seats!

Don't forget the EIGHT body boot that thing has. ;) Honestly, if I were in need of a cheap powerful American sports saloon the Marauder or the LS would definately be on my list. I'd drop the Marauder 2", black it all out, and install the Eaton M112 supercharger on that bad boy and THEN it will be serious business.

I found a 2003 Lincoln LS V8 for sale today that I wouldn't mind putting some money down for, and then I realized that it was a bit too much (even if the warranty goes to 2010), especially when I can get a 2002 VW W8 Passat Estate for $3000 less, and have it look twice as cool.

Still, Marauders were awesome, no matter how anti-Ford I ever was. I actually have a Marauder poster hanging on my wall in my room, just because it was so bad-ass.

One problem though; The guy at the dealer had the balls to tell me it was better than a Pontiac GTO because it had two extra doors, and (I'm serious) "Wasn't based on a FWD platform." Then I noted that it was RWD, had more power, and was cheaper, the only major issue being that it didn't have four-doors. Then he went off on some anti-Cadillac rant that made no sense... That pretty much ruined the Marauder for me right there.

Still, if I could find one for cheap, I'd consider getting one... That is, if there isn't a W8 (or a GTO) lurking around at the same price...

not to go too far off topic but, wtf??? why do salespeople insist on digging themselves into holes in a discussion like this? the only connection that the GTO has with Cadillac is some Catera lineage...

Glad you here you say that. The Marauder has a certain old school "gangster" look to it like the 300C.
