Messed up hairdo!

Have you ever had your barber or whoever cuts your hair mess up? Personally, I've never had to go through it, but my best friend did. It doesn't happen much, but you guys probably have some good stories about it. I came up with this thread because I just got a haircut today and it reminded me of this subject.
 
I've got a queue in back. When braided (usually is) it's about the diameter of my little finger, and runs down to the small of my back. One time I was trying out a relatively new barber. The guy was snipping away back there one time and I heard a gasp, but he didn't say anything, so I ignored it. A couple days later I unbraided it to neaten it up and about a third of it fell out in my hand. He'd snipped one of the strands of the braid right off at the back of my neck.

I never went back to that bastid.
 
I have never had this happen, but I always hope that they don't mess up on my hair. Luckily, I have short hair, so if they mess up it won't effect me that much. I don't have to wait forever for my hair to grow back.
 
I have my hair cut very very short most of the time. If they *do* somehow screw up, I just yell at them for a bit then shave it off.
 
I did.

Not counting the military hair cuts where you need a styptic pencil afterwards, I had one really bad hair cut. There was a barber right across the road from my old office. Lunch time, I ran over there, told the guy how I like it cut. He proceeded to cut it the way he wanted. I didn't notice until the next morning when I did up my hair. Odd sprigs sticking up all over the place. Two nearly bald spots and I was fuming.

Can you say "Flat top"?

i've never really had a totally bad haircut. my mom has had a few though.

one time, this idiot gave her this "bulldyke haircut". thats a quote. lol. it was bad, but i helped her fix it, and it was better in a week or two. we have good hair. lol.

As for me, i think i had one.. My hair was cut short and there were a few little spots in the back with longer hair that were noticable...
 
In grade 3 the guy cut my hair too short, I wore during school:lol:
Now I only gte an inch off of my hair, so I don't know how anybody can screw that up

Im not Public but im pretty sure thats ANGELINA JOLIE.
A couple years ago I let my girfriends sister cut my hair. My hair is very short (mabey an inch long) already so I thought it would be impossible to mess up. I guess I was wrong. :lol:
In the end to get it repaired I had a professional us a number 1 on it which means my hair was as long as the 2 smileys I posted in this thread. :scared:
 
Once some screwball fubar'ed my hairdo - But it's ok.. I spend a lot of time being bald anyway, so I went home at whipped out the trusty Gillette Sensor Excel and removed what was left...

It was a cheap cut at least...
 
recently i was at the barber shop( i am faithfull to my baber shop i have been going there since i was 5, people from other citys come to get cut there). i went to the old man in there because i was in a hurry and there was a couple of people people in line for my regular barber. but i think his hand was to shacky and one side burn was completely obliderated and the line in the back was in somewhat of a zig zag pattern.
 
The worst for me was when my mom cut my hair before my eigth-grade picture. I had two bald-ish spots on top and half of it was like a bowl-cut. Not pretty at all.

A year ago my barber ended up giving me a "bowl" cut. It looked like crap and felt like crap.

Four months later, when I went back for my trimestrial trim, she did a much better job.

Oh. I should've known that... Now that i look harder it does look like her. Haha... Jeeze i feel like a complete dummy. :dopey:
 
I think the worst thing that could happen is looking in the mirror when they are finished with your hair and you see that she gave you a mullet. "Business in the front, Party in the back" :lol:

My very last haircut, instead of going to the barber's to get it cut, like normal, my mate offered to cut it for me and save me some money. He's "had experience" with clippers, so I thought yeah, why not.

Anyway, he cut my hair WAY too short and now it's growing back weirdly. It's still relatively short on top, but hangs down over my ears on the sides, and is long on the back.

I'll never let him cut my hair again...
 
I completely forgot! My girfriend bought hair clippers for christmas and wants me to save some money by having her cut it. Sometime within the next week or so she wants to cut it. This could end up good or bad and if its bad I will let you know. It will be her first time ever cutting hair. :scared: :lol:
 
My girlfriend finally cut my hair this weekend with the new clippers. She did a decent job with it. The only thing she messed up on is in the front she made it a little too short. For her first hair cut ever I think she did a decent job. So since it isnt terrible or messed up, I wont be posting the pics of it.

With that intelligent and well thought out reply I dont think you will have to worry about any girl even wanting to be with you, not to mention cut your hair. :lol:
 
About six months ago I had my haircut at a rather expensive hairdresser (she would call herself a stylist) anyways, I told her what I wanted "just a bit of a trim thanks" my hair is usually shortish so I thought it couldn't go wrong so I wasn't really paying attention while she cut my hair and at the end my hair looked very 80's and i mean very 80's. she'd cut all the sides and back and left me with this big fringe that just stuck out and went to the side. I felt like a member of Tears for Fears or something. I should have complained but I'm a bit weak ans spineless for that.

After this happened I went to my usual guy (he would call himself a barber) and asked him to fix it. And he did, I've never gone to anybody else again.
