Messing with the car settings to drive like GT3

Do you guys think this is possible?I mean,I love GT4,but I love GT3 even more, becaus ethe driving is so much fun!You can actually have fun in a FF in it,and in GT4,they just feel like metal,i don't know, they're weird. In GT3 they're far more heavy and loose.

Do you think that some messing with car settings could get them to handle like GT3?Or at least somewhat closer?
It'll be awsome to have GT4's car list with GT3 handling...
Thanks in advance.

You mean you'd rather have a videogame in which many of the cars feel vague and disconnected from their "reality?". I don't think it's possible to make GT4 feel like GT3 but it's an interesting question...you may get some interesting answers. 💡

...my answer would be to just break out GT3 again!

well, maybe i'm just weird, after all i actually like enthusia's driving physics with a dual shock even tough everybody says it sucks.I like it because the cars actually feel heavy, and you can really feel(in my opinion,i don't even have a driver's liscense yet,so i couldn't know for sure) what's going on in the road.

But i have in fact been playing GT3,for some time now.The only problem is that the car list is nothing compared to GT4.I mean,it has all my favourite japanese cars, but the european selection sucks...

Agreed. yeah I think many of us were disappointed with GT3's Euro selection. Anyways, I can't wait to see some answers to this thread. GT3 certainly has a different feel (a bit more fun in a way, but less "real").

Wait, so you prefer GT3 over GT4, like European cars, and enjoy playing Enthusia with the Dual Shock 2? Are you my clone? :P

Sorry, but I don't think the solution to your problem can be found in the car settings. It certainly wouldn't recreate GT3's vague tire modelling (as Parnelli Bone noted), but I think GT4's physics and handling balance are so off-kilter that nothing could save it (hack into the code and insert the values from GT3? 💡 ).

I hope PD starts over from scratch for GT5.

P.S. If you weren't aware already, there's an Enthusia sub-forum in the Playstation 2 forum. :)

Wofle, is it possible to hack the physics over? if you can find a way, we could implement a new ebrake, and tire modeling right?

I was just joking, but if anyone here knew the answer it would be sucahyo. My own guess is that it's doubtful.

i don't think that is possible.that would envolve coding knowledge, cracking knowledge(probaby the game code is encrypted like the save game),and much time and patience.Suca's is a code master, but for hex editing. And i don't think that it would be as easy as changing lines.

That reminds me.Why hasn't GT4 been mod before?I mean,it's a pouplar game,i've seen GTA SA with mods, and i've actually made it myself.I think a modded GT4 with custom cars would be awsome. And while they're modding, they could create a clutch button...

It all comes back to Sucahyo! Can't tell you how many times that guy illuminated us in the GT2 forum....

perhaps I'll write him a note...he's been busy lately and hasn't been here. :(
