I never played Metro 2033 and only just started Last Light on ps3 because it was free on PS+ but did not get far.. but anyways.. for $50 this looks like a great deal. (Bonus at Best Buy you get a $10 gift card as well) I plan to pick it up Tuesday.. anyone else?

I was actually interested in this when they initially released last gen, but for some reason never got around to giving it a shot. I'll definitely be picking it up once I have a chance.

I've owned 2033 for almost as long as I've had my PC but I've really struggled to care enough to play it, even though what I did play was alright. Therefore I might pick them up when they're cheap enough but I don't think first person shooters are really my thing any more, unless they're Borderlands 2 (but there's a huge gulf between games like Metro and games like Borderlands).

I appreciate that this is a thing, though, by all accounts Last Light's engine was far better optimised than 2033's and the other extra features sound good.

I never played either, but was really interested in them but never got round to picking last light up. I have this on pre-order and from what I have seen, it looks great!

I bought 2033 for the atmosphere, left it alone after 3 hours due to fundamentally flawed sections and bugs. I ended up in too many insanely frustrating scenes where they wanted you to use stealth but gave you very little in the way of stealth mechanics. I loved alot of it up to that point and forgave some rough edges for the general atmosphere and way in which the game invoked some genuine stress pulling me in more than most bona fide 'horror' games.

I'd like Redux, but I'll wait until an inevitable Steam sale.

So for really enjoying it.. I opted for the non-hardcore spartan mode, turned off the auto aim / aim assist, and cranked up the control sensitivity. - Took some screenshots directly from the game.
