This is the MG EX258, as introduced on the 2001 NEC Sports Car show. The EX258 is a rally car based on the ZR saloon, and will be entered in the Formula 3 Super 1600 category. The debut of the MG ZR EX258 rally car, driven by Gwyndaf Evans and Chris Patterson, came to an end on stage three of the 2002 Monte Carlo Rally when the car left the road and was unable to continue. This was during the second 'competitive' stage after the second stage of the day was cancelled.
