MGF in GT4 Confirmed?

By all means, nothing is 100% for-sure in GT4 until the final release of the game... but while perusing Gamespot's new GT4 pictures, I saw an MGF ad at Tsukuba:

If the ad's in rotation, it'd only make sense.

The curious thing is that rather than an ad for MG, only an MGF logo is used.
 
I saw that a while ago, I think it's there because it probably is in real life. They are trying to keep things accurate.

MGF have not produced one decent car for a long time though, all they do now is get the same tired old Rover and put an ugly bodykit on it.

I'm pretty sure there are going to be some older MG's, because there is a member here who said they had their MG Maestro Turbo at the test thing for GT4 in the uk.
 
I would love to see an MGB-GT, the logo is MGF because that was used by MG when the MGF was the only car they produced, the new MG's are nothing special, but the MG TF is better than the MGF.
 
I never heard of this car. I did a Google image search for it. Looks OK to me; but it's probably not very different to a Miata, I take it?

MGF was in GT2 if I'm not mistaking.
It's mid engined as oposed to teh MX5 witch is FR. Didn't get stellar reviews in RL I think Top Gear called the ride to soft and sloppy.

Think the later models adressed that a bit and made the ride more sporty.
Anhow I'd rather see a MGBGT :)

It's 'awesome' handling can be attributed to the fact that it shares some suspension parts with one of these.

An Austin Allegro, well that's according to Giles here. Who i'm pretty sure is telling the truth. Most of the other MG/Rovers are based off old Honda chassis. Just thinking about it MGF is a bit of a joke.
 
The reason the MGF was crap is because when it was in production MG was owned by BMW, and ofcourse BMW didn't want anything to take sales away from the Z3 which wasn't anthing special itself, now MG have split, the TF which is the updated MGF has addressed many of the originals flaws, and has had much better review, it still falls short of being special though.
 
Solid Lifters pic is actually an image of a development mule.
The TF no longer shares suspension components with the Allegro - those hydragas units were only fitted to the MGF, not the TF, which now has coil springs.
While it certainly isn't the best car in the world, it's affordable and fun, and is quite practical too - I considered buying a MR2, but the luggage space on that is a joke.
Here is my TF, which has factory fitted AP racing brakes.

The front of that car and rims sort-of look like an aston martin.
 
I quite like a few of the new MG's. Like the SV and ZT 260. They may not be pretty but they have got a bit of speed.
 
The SV looks great but from what I've seen on TV it's not as fast as it's rivals.
 
I don't know if it will make it into the game. Maybe not even for a Pace Car. Nice car, though.

If I remember, the MGF was in Gran Turismo 2. But most of the people who went to the "MG and MINI" store in North City were probably going for the Minis anyhow.

Don't like MGs much? if their LMP makes it into GT4, it may silence quite a few critics.

There's a one make racing series for them here, it's quite entertaining to watch. The cars are all prepared by MG, and the drivers just pay for bingles, I understand.
 
there seems to be nothing special with that car, but to have suck a complete list of cars, GT most likely will have it. Iv never heard of it, what is the price on one of these anyways?

In the UK, the recommended prices are

MG TF 1.6 (115) £15,795
MG TF 1.8 (135) £17,545
MG TF 1.8 (120) £18,445 (Semi-auto)
MG TF 1.8 (160) £20,345

The figure in brackets is the power output in PS.
The car shares the same engine range as the Lotus Elise, with the 160 model having the same engine as the Elise 111S.
