Hi there.

In my humble opinion, I think that the best way would be to disable mics cause it reduce the bandwidth. Qualifier alone would be good aswell cause there is always someone at least who try to run in the slipstream.
Maybe sports softs is a bit too much. Maybe sports hards (even comfort softs) would be appropriated for these cars.
And you should test all cars and make specific installed parts for each to make them all equal.

In an other hand, a Miata Club is a good idea ;)
 
I would really enjoy a MX5 club if it were to happen. Here's my $.02USD

-Private room, not public. Any riff-raff can wander into a public room, wreck your event and drive unapproved cars.
-Race quality should be Normal or High and audio chat should be Normal to prevent lag issues
-Visual damage should be Off to prevent lag issues
-Room should be limited to 14 or 15 to prevent lag issues
-Penalties should be off, nobody likes racing ghost cars
-Starting order with Slowest First will lead to sandbagging, should be Fastest First.
-Tires should be CS or SH (preferably CS)

If you put this together and the time/day suits my schedule, I'd be in. 👍

Once I get my internet fixed or switch ISP this is still a thought in my head as well.
