I tried to play sitt a freind läst night bug i could not hear his mic and he could not hear mine. My mic sas working perfect in the settings. We were playng in " my lounge" and never had this problem pre patch.

Edit: stupid Swedish autocorrect on my phone. Hopefully you understand most of it

Ever since 2.04 I had an issue using the Sony Wireless Stereo Headset online. It worked perfectly when I was in the lounge menu or stationary on track, but as soon as I started driving I was unable to be heard by anyone else in the lounge. Haven't tried it since 2.06 came out but I doubt it's been corrected.

As for your problem, it could be the same I experienced with my stereo headset, and thus, I have no solution as of now. My blutooth headset works great, but I miss having all the sounds in my ears while online.
