With the newly launched Ayrton Senna content, and the previous Sebastian Vettel Challenges, there is actually only one driver who are amongst the true greats of modern time F1 that are left out of this game.
Michael Schumacher.

this struck me last night when I did both the Vettel and Senna events back to back, and the more I think about it, the better I think it is.:)

Those 3 drivers represent the best of the best from their respective time, and together they stood for almost 30 years of dominance in the sport. So to me it makes perfect sense to add some content involving the man with so many records in the sport, including most wins, most fastest lap, most pole positions, most championship wins, most lap records... the list goes on. he even holds the record for holding most records!:scared:

Sebastian Vettel's strongest weapon during his dominance was his car, and so he got to feature some crazy fast formula cars.

Ayrton Senna's strongest weapon was his ability to put in that perfect lap, and so he got to feature a set of time trials. (he was also a wet weather warrior, not sure why that was'nt included...)

So what is Michael Schumacher's strongest weapon? sure that Ferrari was in a league of its own at the start of the 21st century, but his real strenght was his racecraft, he was always great at taking the most out of the car at the right time, and almost always gained places during the races.

Therefore I'm thinking something like driving missions, like the ones in GT4 where you would have 1 lap to catch up to the first guy and win the race, but in formula cars and distributed over more laps. Maybe even a event where your opponent has pitted, and you have to pull away enough to be ahead after your pit. Stuff like that.:p

There is something wrong, to me at least, about releasing Michael Schumacher Tribute content. Given his current condition it strikes me as insensitive and would smack of trying to make money off the attention his accident has garnered. It would be fine if he was healthy because you avoid any taboo which may come with his being in a coma.

The Ayrton Senna Tribute avoided that because so long has passed since his death, and I do not consider the Red Bull X Challenges any type of tribute to Vettel just because his face was in the corner.

Any content should include the Jordan he had his first F1 race in, his race winning Benetton and of course a couple of Ferraris.

Maybe so... still I dont like the taboo. you should be able to talk about anything regardless of how soon. But yea you're probably right, it'll have to wait atleast a couple of years. Sooner if he recovers.

I agree on the Jordan-Benneton-Ferrari combo tho .

*side note:
My uncle has actually raced Michael Schumacher in gokart, and won!
Me myself have raced Marcus Ericsson, and lost:grumpy:

More legendary tribute content makes me pumped and ready to take on its challenges if it gets released.

If they take the Senna content as a template for more tributes they should be careful about who they choose. One persons hero could be anothers villain.

I'm not saying they should do tributes to every single F1 driver, but just adding Schmi would cover "the 3 big greats" in modern time F1. the are some Drivers that can live up to these 3, but they all raced 50 years ago. Senna, Schumacher, and Vettel should be it IMO. no more.

And sure Shumi has more enemies than Senna these days, but he is more beloved by the crowd than Vettel is anyway.

I prefer Schumi overSenna to be honest, I think he was a better all round racer, but I can't see him in a Gran Turismo game. Having Senna in GT6 makes sense for 3 reasons. For one Schumi isn't considered as mythical as Senna, back in his hey day it was almost boring to watch Schumacher destroy the field lap after lap like a robot with pin point accuracy and very high race pace. Two is that Kaz see's Senna as his hero and it makes sense to involve him in the game, and the third is that it's the 20th anniversary of Senna's death so it's kind of a nice gesture and tribute to the man.

As somebody already mentioned as well given the current state Schumacher is in I find it even more unlikely he'll be included in a Gran Turismo game any time soon. Still I'm not bashing the idea, I just don't see how he fits into the game.

It is 10 years since Schumacher's last championship though. It would be nice to see some of his cars.

Schumacher content I'd like to see:

Adelaide - where he got his first world title crashing into Hill's car.
Catalunya - his first win with Ferrari in the wet.
Jerez - where he lost the world title after crashing into Villeneuve's car.

Maybe there already planning something, as they recently added the Red Bull Ring ;)

A1Ring, now Red Bull Ring - Where he manipulated the outcome of the race
Indianapolis - Where he manipulated the outcome of the race
Monaco - Where he manipulated the outcome of qualifying

Couldn't resist

I agree. Michael Schumacher has been my F1 driver idol: I watched several F1 programmes on my TV.

I Think that Michael Schumacher should be in same structure as Ayrton Senna Tribute is.
