Just wanted to see if people think they 'are' completely finished (not what you want, most of us want them to be finished), or if they'll be some alternative, like decreasing cost, or increasing cr per $ ratio.

Here's something ridiculous, in Australia 7 million cr = $73.95, or 94,658.55 cr per $1.

That ratio is obviously just laughable, and I feel sorry for people who paid that, and remember 7 million is currently the 'best' value (if you call that value for money).

But if you could buy 50 million cr for $1-2, would that make the system last longer? Or is it insulting to those who've already purchased credits? Maybe at that price there's not enough users buying credits to justify micro-transactions anymore, and they'd remove them entirely?

I still wouldn't buy 50 million cr, but if people 'might've' bought them before, would changing the ratio make them last longer?

To have all cars in the game costs roughly 1.1 billion credits. Not including coming DLC/VGT cars etc. If you were to spend real money (Someone figured this out in a another thread) you would have to spend over $9,000 to have every car the way the credit to dollar ratio is right now.

More than enough Micro-Transaction-related threads, ineffective polls to-date...
I think we might need a petition...

That being said, my take:

A seemingly very expensive marketing campaign...
...featuring past and present automotive celebrities...
... showcasing over 1200 cars, new tracks...
...including an exotic racing resort in Spain, improved physics...
...yet to be implemented features (promised in future updates).

The fine print:
Basic admission charge (dealer window-shopping): U.S.($) $60.00...
...stocking your garage may require 100s to 1000s man-hours in-game grinding....
...credit penalties will be levied for violating programmed driving parameters...
...so we have conveniently provided the option of micro-transactions...
...to enhance your gaming experience...(and our bottom line).

Corporate disclaimer:
...we realize that this may bring discomfort to the hardcore GT community enthusiasts, but...
...our market research indicates that many 13 year olds in select households have access to credit cards.

------------------------------------------------------

Offer some DLC car packs with high-value cars, proportionally increase the payouts...

Bring on the DLC, I would gladly pay premium price for DLC instead of mickey mouse micro-transactions.

Be a leader, not a follower, no need to emulate Microsoft/Turn 10...
...withdraw micro-transactions and exploit that to promote...
...GT6 occupies a different market segment.

^ Yep microtransactons have no place in a premium game. The only legitimate place for them are F2P games.
And I'd have to argue that they have no place there either. Any game that relies on micro transactions will have any natural gameplay progression ruined by the need to encourage players to spend, spend, spend.

If Sony/PD don't curb their greed then this will be the last GT I buy! Not a threat but a simple statement of fact. Life goes on with or without GT.

The difference is F2P games are free, there is no entry cost. You can play till you cant take it anymore and decide to either quit or dig into your wallet. If u spend money on it thats on you, but if you quit you don't lose a single dime. The only thing that u lose is time but if you enjoy it up till then then its time well spend in my opinion. Microtransaction is the only source of revenue for F2P games so of course the gameplay is gimp towards such system, its within their interest to do so. When you play such games you should already know of this beforehand and expect it to be so. If you walked into a minefield knowing its a minefield with signs saying its a minefield, expect to be blasted to smithereens.

But when this is implemented in a full price games it become a problem. Even after we pay in full, the gameplay will still be gimp toward such system because this is addition stream of revenue on top of the entry cost. Its practically free money, if you are a developer you would do it too as this ultimately affects your paycheck. However this isn't wrong nor is it illegal, its just unethical fueled by greed. The only thing we as fan can do is voice our displeasure and respond with our wallet.

Too bad they can't play fair - so when we sell our in-game cars, we actually get that money back onto our credit cards, at the same rate...

Yes, and I acknowledged this to some degree in my OP.

In Australia, at the best value option 7 million cr, that goes into the total 1.1 billion cr pool 157.14 times, lets be generous, 157 times.

$73.95 x 157 = $11,610.15 AUD, so believe me when I say, I'm completely against them.

That's not what this poll and thread are about, we could 99% be against them, if people are still using them, even in the slightest degree, there's no reason for them to go, or for the game to start giving us proper sized payouts.

This isn't, should they be in it, this is, WILL, they be in it in the short term future
