We have enough cable and network ports for all 6 players. Just bring your memory card, a TV of some sort and a playstation with network capability.

Last night we had another successful "LAN Party" We had 5 machines linked and playing with no noticeable lag or any slowdowns of any kind.

To help make the racing more organized I have taken the liberty of breaking down the cars into 8 basic categories. I provide all participants with a Race Group spreadsheet showing which cars fall into which class. I have also driven each of the cars all at the same course, which I feel gives a good mix of both high speed and technical sections, until I have achieved "consistant lap times". Then on the same Race Groups spreadsheet, I list that consistant time next to all of the available cars. This seems to give the players an idea of which cars will be dominant or not so dominant in any given class.

Since you only have your 30 favorites to choose from when playing in LAN mode, you dont have enough spaces in your garage to fit every car you might want to. We usually choose on or two of the dominant cars per class and maybe one or two of the not so good ones. We all really focus on not having the same cars. It really makes for much more interesting races. With the boost on strong, the races are VERY close. Finishing 1st through 5th within less that 1 second is very common, though finishing 1st through 5th in less that a half second has become the norm.

I hope that there is someone in the local or even not so local area who might be interested in stopping by. Just send me an email or a Private Message.
