Mid race save in endurances, a firmware upgrade or cheat or extension or something!

Hi, before I begin I will say that this is my first post and I know that this topic has been discussed before. But this time I'm asking for an actual upgrade to the game or something like that. It would definitely be possible, a code in the memory card or usb stick in the ps2.
 
I just hope they add the option for GT5. That's the only reason I've only completed one 24 hour race, and only because I needed the Formula GT.
