Mid race update

Hey, I'm in the middle of the Le Mans 24 hours and I haven't updated to 2.06 yet because I worry the race might stop if I do.
Does anyone know if it's safe to update while in the middle of a race?

If you're still doing the race why would you want to update? Just finish the race then update it. I'm pretty sure you will lose the race if you try to.
