What is the Midnight Chicago Race Team?
- Team name: Midnight Chicago Race Team
- Racing Styles: Endurance, trophy dash, touge, no rules muscle car only, DTM, rally and other events contributed by members.
- Where: Private lounges when are at max capacity or playing with special rules, otherwise we're often open to the public.
- When: We're located central time united states, we play at many different times but usually spend most of time playing between 6AM-8AM and 7PM-1030PM, every weeknight.
- Age group: We're smokers, we enjoy philosophy, discussing life and how nice to is to take it easy in the world of Gran Turismo 5. If you can't stand "the bubbles" going on now and then on the mic, this isn't the team for you. We're unorganized, lazy and just enjoy fun & competition. Free thinkers, free spirits come on through!
- Rules: No abusive or offensive language is tolerated, no racist jokes, no racist remarks, keep all the mean negative stuff out. This is a place of virtual light for the loving soul.
- Current Members: Unofficially at about twenty four, with five regulars.
- How to join: Send me a personal message with the subject "Chicagoland Race Team". Keep in mind, we have no leaderboards, no website, no team name, no team leader, no co leaders. This team is ran by the team.
- Team Benefits: Each team member will be mailed items, paints and cars by all the other team members. Each day someone on the team will get "bombed" by all the team members with lots of paints, cars, etc. For example, 15 members might send 1 member a car each, next day another member is chosen. Ideally everyone gets selected to be "bombed with gifts", this will be organized and is a special treat for being a part of the Chicagoland Nameless Race Team.
Lastly, I would like to input that above all if there is enough interest when PSN is brought back, I will start using google calendars and other free features to organize community / team events.
As unorganized as it truly is, there will be things logged. Championships, tours and competitive races are taken very seriously; with that said we follow GTPlanet OnLine Racing Rules strictly for competitive races.
When we're not making bubbles on the mic, fooling around, being creative, trying new events we are taking competitive racing seriously.
Competitive racing includes:
- Endurance
- DTM
- Rally
- Trophy Dash (5-10MIN Races)...and more!
What is creativity? You figure you spent $59.00+ for the game, why not explore what is possibly? With that said we've had many hours or laughter, excitement and overall enjoyment by trying new things:
- Find a section of a track to drift, use the rest of the track as a roundabout wherein you must "line up" and battle other players on a specific section of a track, only to come back around and line up again. Drift/Touge BATTLE!
- Opposite racing, without the intention to crash a group races one way and another group races the opposite...two laps!
- Small track, no rules, muscle car racing...here at tracks such as Clubman 5 you can have a no rules races where powerful muscle cars come screaming around corners with the tail out trading paint! Rubbin' is racing in this mode!
- Same make challenges: it doesn't matter what generation or year bring it -- If it has "RX-7" in the name and it's not modified, you can use it! Limits are given to even the playing field. Finally, race all of the 3000GTs in one race!
Well, if you have read this all by now and have any interest; let me know!
Cheers,
Update: For those interested I URGE you to make your calendar at Google Calendar. I will add your calendar and hopefully I can find a systematic way to create special events and have everyone view when and where they are.
