Military material?

The 'military material' in question is a model kit of a tank, and the photographs are of the build process of the kit. If I understand correctly, GT Planet is a non-military website, however this build-up does not promote any military faction, and it is as far from propaganda as anythinbg, subconscious messages aside. This said, would it be acceptable to post these pictures? They would be in the Hobbies forum.

I don't think there is anything against posting pictures of military vehicles. I have seen many pictures of tanks, planes, guns, rocket launchers, an even soldiers from multiple countries.

Most of the aircraft in the Guess the Plane! Resurrection thread are military aircraft, and a member made several posts about his model tanks in a thread a year or two ago. I don't think there's anything against it, as long as its objective. Posting a project under wraps at Area 51 might violate the AUP or various other laws, though.

I think it's a taboo on anything that insinuates a member taking part in violent acts...? Is that why AK47brrap was banned? Or was it Sakiale for the nth time?

Probably Sakiale again.

Perhaps there's a message not getting through.

Sakiale won't learn.

Superberkut, your question has me a little puzzled. What makes you think GTPlanet is a "non-military website"? What exactly do you mean by that? I am very curious to find out what myself or the staff has done which would give you the impression that it's not OK to post images of a model tank. It is certainly fine with me and well within the bounds of the AUP - I'm proud of the U.S. military and have been fascinated by military machines/vehicles all my life!

Jordan - Then why aren't you online playing Call of Duty 4 with the rest of us? :D

On the subject, and although I don't have a say on anything here, even more since Jordan already replied to it, but I also was under the impression that there would be no problem in posting pictures of military material/vehicles/etc, since that what it's asked.

Of course, posting pics of videos of explicit violence (with or without military material) and/or encouraging acts of violence would surely be a whole different matter...

Well, I see daan (kidding) stating something like that, but I really thought it was a given...

It is White R34 who had the original question; he thought GT Planet was a non-military website, thus he withheld his pictures of his model tank build-up. Here, I am forwarding his question.

Thank you for your answers, though. I will let him know.
