Hi guys,
I'm a little bit of addicted to the world of Minecraft nowadays, and a friend of mine made me a 'world', which was litteraly a stone block of about 2000x2000x64 (64 gives 'standard' height). I started building my own city, and started with a highway (2x3 lanes), a few normal streets, 2 streets with houses, a town information centre building, a few parking places.... I was building a restaurant with a few hotel rooms above it, and my Linux thingy was saying there are updates ready to get installed. I thought I could do that at he moment, and the beginning was all okay.. Downloading 30 updates, 17MB, done. Installing started and suddenly the laptop started lagging real bad. The cpu thing on the top said it was in use 100%, and I did ctrl alt delete. Nothing happened. I closed and opened the laptop again, and it was still hanging. I turned off the laptop and put it on again, and the whole savegame was just gone. I started a little bit of placing maps out of the saves-map, and placing them back again... There is just no possibility to get my savegame back.. Anyone else knows how to solve this problem?
To be clear: I'm playing Minecraft on LINUX!!!
