hey guys
doin the amatuer gt series, for the prize car i have a option of a Mines Skyline GTR, or a Nismo Skyline GTR R-Tune.
WHAT ONE SHOULD I CHOOSE???
please post your suggestions and why i should choose it

POST ASAP!!!

Why don't you do it twice and win them both?

And did you really have to create the same topic twice?

If I am posting in a double thread situation, sorry.

I looked and didn't see a secod thread, and as for why I am posting...

I love the r-tuned skyline.

I suggest getting the r-tune nismo instead of the mine's.

The r-tuned has great overall performance thanks to the possible 900+hp, but it also has great balance when tuned to the 655hp mark with a 2.0 pwr.

By far, the r-tuned nismo, at 655hp/ 2.0pwr, is one of the best road car skylines in the game.

Try that out and if you don't like it, go get your mine's skyline and see which you like more.

Either way, you should run the series twice, but if it was me, I would run the second time around with the r-tuned nismo and get an idea of just how good it is.

I reckon the mines one is better. I have a front LSD on the mines and it turns in pretty well unlike the R-tune which understeers quite bad. I just have the mines one as a good track car at 620ish hp and the R-tune as a monster 900hp track.drag car....

The mines on is better for the twisties in my opinion.

r tuned, because its power and originality being in the nismo family

Now is that considered spam?
I care not, reason why: I like the r-tuned. :D

I am gonna setup a little comparo tonight if I have time. (it's already past mid-night and I am already drunk, so. :D )

But yeah, a comparison is in order for this thread, so I will be back with results.

Maybe 2 different tracks and a medium hp level?

Back soon with results. :trouble:

Anyone else who cares to join in just go ahead and mention it and we might be able to get something going. :D

Later.

I think Mine's Skyline is better, but there is more free space to tune Nismo GT-R.

Stock the Mines is better, but tuned I can get much better performance from the R-tune, even if they are both at similar Bhp the R-tune seems better round corners and provides faster times for me.

This is right.
Pretty much.

I think both have similar, if not identical handling at equal power.
With stats like these...
1340kg vs 1326kg
621hp vs 622hp
2.157 vs 2.131 (pwr)
.215 vs .205 (twr)
... I found that they both had nearly matching lap times and just about the same handling (the suspensions weren't exactly the same, so judging handling is subjective).

But over all, the R tuned has better power. However, stock, the mine's is better.

I think the only flaw of the mine's is the curse that seems to go along with all mine's cars.

Go check the mine's evo 6 and it has less torque than an equally tuned evo6. A stock evo 6 also has more power when fully tuned. The thing about this is that when the evo's are compared to their stock counterparts, they stand out as being better, but when you tune the cars fully, the mine's fall behind.

This is also the case with most of the other tuner cars in the game.
Look at the spoon and mugen S2000s, neither of them make the power of a fully tuned "normal" S2000, but in the stock form, the tuner cars are better than the stock normal S2000.

So yeah, that's my take...
Anyway, catch ya'll later.
