After BMH(Formerly BMC) and Leyland merged in 1968, British Leyland decided to facelift the Mini. The facelift was ready in 1969 and it's known as Mini Clubman and Mini 1275GT. After Clubman got to market regular Mini continued in production next to it. 1275GT replaced 998 Cooper and 1275 Cooper was ended in 1971 leaving 1275GT as only sporting Mini before 1980 when Clubman was replaced with Austin Metro. 1275GT uses same BMC A-Series engine as 1275 Cooper before and after 1275GT was in production.

My first car, but with slim wheel arch extensions and 6x12inch wheels. Engine was replaced with a moderately tuned 1.1 producing 65bhp. The original 1275 was supposed to be the basis of a mini pick-up project but the prices went insane and it unfortunately never happened.

A lot of people prefer the Clubmans for tuning as a bit more room in the engine bay makes things a touch easier both in terms of extracting the best from the A-series or doing engine swaps without extending the nose. **IF** it were added to a game tuning should gain slightly better results due to having a bit more to play with.
