Cargo started seriously lowering the PP here and achieved 365 before leaving it.

I bettered that by doing it in 364PP in the Mini Cooper S '11, to which;

++++ Highrev said;

"Would be nice if they added a rank for the players that got 1st with the lowest PP. Give something to compete outside of TTs "

The only rank is here, which of course is just as good except that much of the world likely do not know about it..

To keep it honest I suggest always posting your PP, hp, power %, added ballast and total weight, total time, best lap time, gap to 2nd car, $ win amount and exp amount. +++++

And off we went.

Didn't think I could lower the PP much further than yesterdays 364, below;

++++++At Deep Forest using 364PP...127hp, 68% power.....max ballast = 1170kg, no extra power additions.

Best lap, 1:34.3, total time 7:55.514, won by .694sec.

Win $1,124,650...exp 107900...................++++++++

So bought a new Mini Cooper '02 as it is light and has reasonably low PP to start with.

Anyway, added 56kg ballast to make 1004kg, sports exhaust manifold, Titanium semi-racing exhaust, 123hp...98.3% power which made 360PP.

Won with that, $1,151,750....exp 110500.

Best lap 1:34.1 total time 7:53.324, won by 2.30 secs.

Looks like there is still room to move lower here.

And there was.

Lowered PP to 358PP, 123hp, 98.3% power, added 95kg to ballast to make 1043 kg all up.

Won $1,151,750...exp 110500....best lap 1:33.8...total time 7:54.197.... 2nd car + 2.30sec.

Reduced PP further to 356 and upped kg 130 to make 1078kg and won.

$1,178,850...xp 113000. Best Lap 1:34.151 total time 7:54.092. 2nd car + 1.197sec.

~~

Down to 354PP 123hp...1092kg.

Best lap 1:34.5.. total time 7:55.394, 2nd car + .117 secs.

$1,192,400....xp 114400.

Seems there are no takers here, at least no one who has bettered my lowest PP.

Anyway, here is my latest result.

Win at 352PP, 117hp, 1040kg. Best lap 1:34.2 total time 7:53.875.

$1,205,950....xp 115699.

That's it for tonight but I think I can reach 350PP so may do a few more laps tomorrow.

Very few have managed a low PP here I see, very few. But that's understandable because it is a very difficult feat.
I however have had a few more runs today and have decided to post my final win for this event, unless someone wins at a lower PP of course, but I doubt that will happen.

Lowest PP for this event is 349PP.....114hp......1040kg.

Best lap 1:33.969, total time 7:55.433 to win $1,226,275...exp 117650.

Incidentally that was in the Mini Cooper 02.

Just to be sure my win at 349PP wasn't a fluke I just had another go, and after 3 tries I won again with 349PP. This time by 1.322 sec's, which suggests that 348PP could be possible?

And the answer is, "Yes it is!" Won at 348PP.

1st lap, 1.36.2
2nd lap, 1.34.6
3rd lap, 1.34.7
4th lap, 1.33.9
5th lap, 1.34.3.......total time 7:53.839. Best lap 1:33.9.

Win $ 1,233,050. Exp 118300.

348PP was @ 113bhp, everything else the same.

If I knew how to do that I would.

My Mini is now available online, not sure of your exact PSN name. Is it Hanibal11 or HanibalII (two capital I's)?

Wow, congratulations MadMax, well done. And thanks for posting your tune.

Well at least no one will doubt that I did it at 348PP now.

However, 345PP beckons.

Yes, did it at "345PP", total time 7:54.525 won by 1.377secs.

No changes except lowered the bhp to 110, 94.1% power, weight remains at 1040kg.

Mini Cooper S '02 339pp - possible.

MINI ONE '02 (bought from UCD with 36k km on the odometer)

The key to winning seems to be a 1'36 (or faster) first lap.
Braking only for the first corner and when overtaking AI just before T1 .
The rest of the time going full throttle without lifting , unless there is AI in the way / a lot of wheel spin.

336PP, crikey, that raises the bar somewhat, and I thought I was done with this race some time ago. Apparently not.

I don't have a Mini One so am using the same Mini Cooper 02.

Best combination I can come up with for 335PP is 102bhp @ 1070kg (+ 122kg). No way can I manage to fit a turbo and maintain a relatively decent hp. A low hp and the turbo doesn't work at all for me.

Can you explain what your rear Toe is (-0.30/-1.00). Is that -0.10 or 1.0? Thanks.

Managed 2nd at 336PP but only 3rd at 335 after a couple of tries.

Will have a few more.

Added some more ballast (which I don't like doing) and brought the weight up to 1101kg which gave me 104bhp @ 335PP.

But am still only managing 3rd place.

The toe setting at rear is minus one.
I've sent you a fried request from my 2nd acc. , GT-LM .

EDITEDIT: and shared the MINI ONE.
About the gears , shift up at ~6200 rpm.

Tested the rest of Mini's and found the MINI COOPER '02 to be super fast at 335pp .
Won the race very easily , passed last AI car at the double lefthander exit in sector 2 .

Decided to try 330pp , got very close to winning. Dropped one more pp to make it a bit more challenging.

Finally , won at 329pp

Car used : MINI COOPER '02

Bought from UCD with 19k km on the odometer = 2pp less than new car (from OCD = broken in) at same weight & power.
At the beginning of the race the power was at 102 bhp , lost 0.1% power from engine wear down during the race.

101 bhp / 1133kg 329pp

Settings:

All non pp affecting parts (no roll cage) + Weight Reduction Stage 2

130kg ballast , position 8

Power limiter 95.9%

Adjusted default gears

A car with close to maximum mileage from UCD (44999 km) might be good for even lower pp rating at similar power / weight figures.

Some people here Cargo could be excused for thinking that you, ""can't help yourself"" too often.

Anyway I'm glad you have opened up correspondence between us as it gives me the opportunity to advise you that I don't collect or have any interest in racing suits or helmets or any other paraphernalia one can get hold of in GT5.

I haven't collected the unsolicited GT5 racing suit you sent me the other day and if you can find a way to take it back please do so, thanks pal.

You know, you could have just pm'd over PSN about that. I was just trying to be nice and send a few gifts your way in a show of friendship. Most people like free stuff but I guess you are different. Sorry, but there is no way I can take the items back. Just recieve them and delete them if it bothers you that much.

Next time I'll send a new set of training wheels as I can only guess yours are getting worn out by now. :lol: (Again, only joking mate.)

No mate, you keep your training wheels, the only time I ever use them these days is when they are mandatory.

And if you can't match my times here, well, 'nuff said.

I think I pretty much proved myself to you in the Seasonal TT's. I have no desire, nor need, to put the training wheels on and do it again. 'Nuff said. :sly:

Ha ha, I think I pretty much proved myself to you in the Seasonals here.

And if you only feel comfortable participating in races where the rules suit you, so be it, no one will think any less of you I'm sure.

G'night.

Yea, ya did. You proved that you're a good arcade racer, :lol: Alright, I'm done. Nice chatting with you again. 👍

OK, gift bearers have been admonished and it's back to the coal face, which is what it's all about anyway.

Doubt Max's 329PP will ever be bettered here, I'm sure I will never get anywhere near it.

My best so far is 344PP, that was set just before Max declared a 336PP win, which I was unable to emulate, however before I leave this Seasonal I will have another crack at lowering my last PP.

~~

Had a go using 339PP and won;

339PP ... 100hp ... 988kg in my Mini Cooper 02.

Total time 7:54.8

$1,294,025 .. xp 124150.

Leaving it at that for now, 2nd place is good.
