I like the concept, not that keen on the interior, or the over elaborate external details. But I love small cars. Even better it's light weight carbon fibre monocoque. Carbon fibre wheels. Exposed carbon on the wings etc.
a 3+1, capable of 94mpg with a secret engine. Of course I would like to see a performance cooper S version. It need only have 100bhp from a 1.0 turbo petrol engine to be fast.

Why does it have handles instead of lights at the rear?

The front reminded slightly of the Smart Roadster, Mini is really loving pumping out these concepts at the moment arnt they!

The illuminated union jack glass roof is pretty cool 👍

That doesn't look particularly cheap to build and doesn't look that nice. I know it's a concept but it still misses the original Mini's philosophy, if that's what BMW were aiming for. They need to create a small, economical and innovative Mini if they hope to recapture the spirit of the original in my honest opinion. Something like the Toyota IQ is closer to the original Mini's ethos. That's just my honest opinion, I'm not saying the BMW MINI is a bad car, I'm just saying it's not very deserving of the Mini badge in my honest opinion. Maybe my opinion is a rare one, but I honestly think the Mini badge should be applied to an innovative, small and economical car.

I hope I managed to get my opinion across without offending any BMW MINI owners, I'm not very good at subtlety due to my social awkwardness and I'm always worried about offending people.

Auto-express are saying the engines it would use would be the 1.5 3 cylinder diesels which range in power from 75bhp to 200bhp.
Personally I don't think BMW would use or be able to use such a big engine in such a tiny car, the IQ which is about the same size can only squeeze in a 1.3 and that does not have a turbocharger which takes up a lot more extra space.
Will have to see. I think if they use a turbocharged diesel/petrol it will be under 1.3 litres.

It's only 11 ft long, 1ft longer than the original mini, it's tiny. Same size as an IQ. A spokesperson from MINI said if our car is not the smallest car it shouldn't be called a mini.
Also mass produced carbon-fibre is cheap enough to make. It just needs guaranteed good sales to be worth the risk of tooling.
