Mini review: SSX Tricky

Well, I rented this out today, for a little mini review.

For those who haven't played this before, SSX (Tricky as well) is a series where you snowboard down tricks, choosing out of two modes, either to do tricks, or race. Both modes earn you new characters, boards, stat points, so in that sense it's similar to Tony Hawks series.
SSX Tricky is a slight improvement over the original, and it sparked a little interest again in me. A few new tracks, and the old ones have new turns and jumps, and the introduction of Uber tricks (specialty tricks) are good...I got bored after 4 hours, and consequently finished with some cheats, to help further my experience. I don't mind it, but definitely wouldn't buy it. Great for a one night stand...

8/10 for short term (renting)
5/10 for long term (buying)

Someone finally did another one! I made the mistake of buying the first one. I bought it when I first bought my PS2 and I don't think I've played it since. Nice mini-review DtV.

Thanks duo, it's been a long time eh...I haven't bought any PS2 games for ages, might have to start reviewing the old PC games...They're all I play now.

Are you joking? I bought SSX Tricky some two years ago, and i still play it and love it. even thoguh i whoop the AI ever time.

Game's a great buy. Maybe you just didn't play long enough to get into it. You can do single races, you know.

Same with the original SSX, I picked it up for 10 bucks about 6 months ago and I still pick it up and play it from time to time.

In all seriousness though, everyone's going to like different games, I liked this game for about a day or two, sure I would pick it up every once in a while, but I do that with every game I have, even...***shudder*** LM 24 Hours...

I like it because I like to knock down all the penguins on the alaska stage. Ma fave characters are Zoe and Psymon.
