Minolta driving tips?

Hey guys, unlocked the Minolta earlier after beating Like The Wind.

I am trying to win the All Stars event with it but it seems undriveable.
Everytime I go to accelerate it just spins out, even if I control the throttle a bit more...

So any tips as to how to tame this beast?
I have used a tune from another thread and it just spins, and spins, and spins!:ouch:

Please help me out...
 
It's going to be tough driving using the Controller.
I got a wheel and pedals so it's just beautiful to drive, I usually win by -1 lap.
With pedals I can control the acceleration and breaking.

Anyway like I said The car just has to much power and you have to go easy on the acceleration or it will spin you out.

Best thing I would suggest is turn on most of the aid's like
Traction Control 6
ABS 3

Also try changing Controller setting instead of X for acceleration use R2 so you have better control over the acceleration, same with breaking L2.

Mostly when you press X it will give you 80-100% throttle which is bad for high performance car.
 
R2 for throttle and L2 for brake makes all the difference as posted above.

Thanks guys will check out that setup, changed the controller to L2/R2 the day of release, feels unnatural on X and Square now :P

Any tips on how many revs to change gear, or should I just us the limiter as per?
 
Yours is the tune I already used as it goes, it's such a chore to drive :(
 
I use the pad and managed this comp without TCS in the Minolta.

I put a lot more rear DF on the car and short-shifted out of turns. A lot.

You really have to practice with the car - it can be very unforgiving but once you find the groove it's actually pretty nice to drive.
 
I use a controller and I thought it was relatively easy... Setup was stock except full downforce and max turbo upgrade.
