Dont you think it kinda sucks how on GT3 a lot of cars get a bad deal, and end up nothing like their real life conterparts?....

Im 17, I've never driven a car right....but I watch enough Motoring programs etc to know whats a good car and whats not...

I noticed this first today when I bought the Aston martin V8 Vantage...awesome looking car, awesome performing car...In real life anyway. The thing is a tank in GT3, which I was extremely dissapointed in because it looks so good then is ruined by this.

Another example is the TVR Griffith, its a great sports car in reality, and admitedly good in GT3, but not as good as it is said to be in real life.

Im sure I could find a few others if I looked, but I wont go on and on, I guess you get the picture..

What are your thoughts?

Yeah but it is just a game. They really made the Audi TT horrible. You know, if they are just going to make a car that is bad at handling and speed, why bother putting it in?

Actually, Early Vipers are the "whizzers" of this generation. They Will indeed spin if driven too harshly.

As for the other cars: I've said it before and I'll keep "preaching" it.
This game was designed by a Japanese man. The Japanese have this thing about family, loyalty, and honor.
Keeping this in mind, which cars do you expect to handle fabulously in GT3 (excluding the Skylines)?

Hey DGT, the Vantage is a tank in real life, it's about 4000lb. And if you're 17, it's about time you got your license! You'll more appreciate GT3 and despise it at the same time...

You know what, I wish they had road tested each and every car in GT3, so that they could reproduce the character of each car as realistically as possible. That way, we the users get a realistic representation of real life.

This is what bothers me about GT Concept. You're driving around in concept vehicles which have not been fully developed for the road, and for sure the game designers have never ever driven them before. So how realistic can it be!? GTC is no longer "a real driving simulator".

And the fact it's pretty impossible for the designers to drive all 190 or so cars in GT3, and probably don't have the intiative to reproduce the handling as realistically as possible... it really ruins the game for me. "driving simulator" my ass.:irked:

Excuse me while I go out for a real drive......

You also must remember that lots of the cars in the game are tuned dramatically different than in real life. Fooling with different settings allows you to recreate the cars more precisely.

have you? that'd be awesome; i've done donuts in a '70s Jeep and '95 Explorer, but nothing sporty. the Jeep even had a bound 4WD transfer case, too.

actually um_jammer they did test drive the cars first (in GT3 at least), they probably just did not convert it well enough to the playstation 2. also for GTC, some one from the development team had to drive it once to get a feel for it...then again thats a guess

Yeah you bet! 👍 My uncle owns one. Viper ACR. He takes me to the track every now and then. Scared the crap out of me more than once  ...

it may weigh 4000lbs, but every person ive seen driving it on shows said it was a joy to drive and performed very well....

 no way! you just may be the luckiest man alive.

Its the Mini that ****s me.....
I have a '68 Aussie Deluxe, and it handles a ****load better than the programmers have made it...ok, so it acellerates about the same......

I can take roundabouts and corners at 70+MPH and no sliding, on STD Tyres with STD suspension !... as they say, like s**t to a blanket.....

Cheers

Well, yeah...but what happened to the ITRs? They couldn't even get the redline right! A few other cars have this problem, too...

no sparx, i'd like to see more "crappy" cars. just the standard ones your average person drives :)

the intro of the game states that colors and performance may differ to the real item anyhow :/
