Missing for 4 months and it has gotten worse

Never ever ever ever ever !
After 4 months without being able to play online due to not having an internet connection i finally managed to have some fun (well i thought i would) until i found that i can no longer find anyone that i used to race with who raced with passion and no bad feeling if you were to pass them on a straight or in a corner.

To my surprise i joined many of the races to find the right people to have a genuine competion with........instead i found nothing but punters who loved nothing more but to Bump and Grind just to get the gold. I for one am happy to race with anyone but it seems that GT5P has lost it's luster and shine.

I was just wondering if anyone else feels the same as i know that the most enjoyable races were the 750pp on Fuji were everyone drove either a Ford GT-LM or an Amuse GT1 AND 650pp on Suzuka.

How do you feel ??
 
I disagree strongly. If you goto the GTP events section https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=198 and start your race at the recommended times, I think you'll find you will get some decent GTP and similar genuine drivers. You can never avoid racing punters, but you can certainly decrease the chances of racing them if you enter event times, especially later at night.
 
hey spawn, i think there is some hope. :)

for the past several days i think the most action has been at the dutch customs 350z race at daytona. there has been plenty of clean and fast racing with lots of passing. youre on pal right? if so, i recommend heading over there and giving it a shot.

also, theres a time trial competition going on hosted by mad94 and markyboy, if you are up for some hotlapping. i do believe you can join at any time, without having started from round 1.

Worse? As someone who has never completely stopped playing GT5:P since its PAL release, I can say with some certainty that the punter problem has always been about the same ever since the game fell out of popularity around August/September. Before that, the players (and hence, the punters) were far greater in numbers. But after that time, we've had a consistent level of players and punters still playing online.

Nowadays I can more easily setup a clean race than I could back in April.
 
I'm lucky, as i just started GT5P so it's still all shiny and new. :D I'm not gonna online race till i really get my skills, tho. :p

Check the Race Events forum. Even though interest in GT5P has diminished over time, there are still some nice and clean events in there. You also may want to check out the Weekly Race Series (WRS).
