Missing long beam indicators?

I have noticed that some premium cars seem to lack minor details in the interior. For example, doesn't a real BMW M3 have a blue light in the dashboard when you toggle long beams? It doesn't have that in GT5 and it seems to be rather hit or miss when it comes to such details across the premium range.

Its just a game if they included every little detail in the game it would never have been finished.

Nonsense! Considering the time it takes to model a premium car, that minor detail can't take long to include. I just wonder why some cars have it while others don't.

What do you mean nonsense the game was 3 years late being released anyway and they are still having to adjust and correct things so i am not talking nonsense maybe if you worked for PD you would have got it all included and released ontime.

I disagree. Most of the things included in minor detail would need to be researched e.g. colours and triggers, and i doubt it was very high on PD's list of prioroties to have absolutely perfect car interiors.

Yeah. The average time to make ONE premium car is about 36-62 weeks. Bear in mind that one year is about 52 weeks. And you're calling that easy work? You should work for PD then.

I mean that the point you made in response to my OP lacked a valid argument. Fact is, some cars have them and some cars don't so your explanation doesn't really explain why PD doesn't go all the way with every single premium car. What makes them decide that a BMW M5 should have a long beam indicator in the dashboard when a BMW M3 shouldn't?

It's just part of the job they do when moddeling interiors. I don't see why that detail would cause additional research?

Did I say it's easy work? I said the exact opposite but maybe you misunderstood.

Sorry i didn't realise you started the thread to create an arguement, i thought i was in gtplanet.

I started the thread to share a thought that has been puzzling me for a while. You raised an argument and I raised an arugment against that. What does that have to do with GT Planet?

Most premium cars have the high beam indicator, some have the low beam too, and even a handbrake light if you happen to pull on that, others don't.

If you ask me, a more noticeable flaw is that some cars don't even have gear-shift driver animation, but there's an undeniable point in saying it took a long time to make those premiums, and a good chunk of them may have been made on borrowed time also (after expected release) So I'm happy with what we got.

Well, at least you're not saying that the game never would have been finished if they took their time to consistenly add these indicators to all premium cars. You may have a point but I still just struggle to see how these minor details can bee too time consuming. After all, small touches considering how far they have come modelling the bodies and interiors of all the premium cars. You can argue that these details are close to being irrelevant but still relevant enough to have them on some select cars. I also agree with the gear shifting animation, Ford Mustang and AMG SL 55 come to my mind.

I guess you'll be asking why your driver never eats as well?

I never thought about that actually. Despite being off topic, you made an interesting observation. :)

What?? It takes a year to model a car??

Having the high-beam indicators work in all the cars would be nice, but getting the non-functioning speedometer in the 2010 RM Camaro(and any others/tachometers that don't work but I'm unaware of) working would probably be my highest priority for cockpit details. At least if it was my decision to make.

To me I would question the obvious details like speedometers and clocks. But fuel gauge, light indicators and even the center console screen? I would barely notice them while driving on the Nurburgring.

When some cars have light indicators, I can't help noticing those which don't. Kind of gives me that the feeling that the dashboard is incomplete without them. Obviously not a deal breaker but I like details and maybe that's also why I have started to ignore standard cars completely.

They all do , some are not stick shifters tho they are paddle shifters..

No they don't, it has nothing to do with paddle or stick shifting. Please take a drive in the premium Ford Mustang from 2007 and come back and tell us where you see a shifting animation.

The premium Mustang modeled is supposed to be an automatic version.
Too bad its transmission behaves like a manual.
