Hey guys,

I've recently hooked my PS2 back up and I've been playing GT4 a lot. It's a great game, however I looked at the soundtrack online and there are a bunch of songs listed there that aren't on my copy of the game (IE Go With The Flow by Queens Of The Stone Age). It sucks not being able to drive to my favorite band, so is this normal for GT4, like an unlock or something, or is it only on a certain region of GT4?

Most likely it's region specific, as i know the PAL version has Go with the flow, as i remember driving to it in GT4. Its pretty much the same with GT3, 2 and 1, with GT2 being a classic example as the PAL soundtrack on that is pretty much completely different to the NTSC version.

Yup, the soundtrack is region specific. Not everything is different but there's quite a few differences between PAL and NTSC (and even probably JP too). Been like this in all GT games.

Older GT games have region specific songs, but sadly I think the Western versions of the old GT games don't sound as pleasant as the Japan and Europe versions. Maybe, one day we can mod the whole soundtrack list in, so who knows.

Imho, GT3 pal had the worst soundtrack of all three of them...it wasnt't bad, but after seeing a ntsc video and realizing it had The Cult in it, I went bananas :D not to mention GT2 pal, it's the only GT I've played with the music off.

As for Go with the Flow, I can confirm GT4 pal has it, I've heard it many times.

Really?! I think PAL GT2 had the best soundtrack imo, more than compensated for it being a relatively short tracklist compared to NTSC, but I'm biased with it being my fav GT

I liked GT2 PAL's soundtrack, but I hated it too for ONE song. I don't dislike Fat Boy Slim songs usually, but Illin in Heaven is horrible. So I play without music nowadays. I also pay GT3 without music because, for whetever reason, PD though it would be batter to remove what was pretty much always used in the settings, which is the VOLUME.. why did they replace it with just on/off?... 'cause the music's volume is just too loud. And since i'm one that likes to hear my cars... yeah.

GT1s japanese soundtrack had was mostly jazz IIRC,
The European version wasn't like that.

Yep, I only liked one song from that soundtrack. I ended up playing with just the engine sounds :D too bad, because I loved that game.
