Mission points for VCS

Anyone know the "percent" per task for PS2???

Also is there any "bonus" points for the balloons like the hidden package "bonus" in LCS (bonus % you got for completing them all)...

I'm curious as to how many tasks I have left-- I'm at about 88% right now-- no guides and I'm avoiding spoilers like the plague...
 
Avoiding the spoilers as always. :p

I can't say I know, or can I find, anything about the percentage for finding all the red balloons. What exactly have you done so far? I won't tell you what you have left, but I can probably estimate how many tasks you have left..

Good to see you around, by the way. I was wondering for a while where you were, but then I realised that you always disappear during a new GTA release.
 
The % increment is 100/240 ~ 0.4167 %
You get a %+ everytime you pop enough balloons to unlock a new item (10,20, ... 99) 10 times total for 4.167 %

You get %+ for each rampage and jump completed and an additional %+ for completing all of them.

You get %+ for each CAFI list completed

The % related with empire sites is somewhat complicated but related to owning sites you get %+ for each 5 sites owned and you get %+ for each "High-Roller" outfit unlocked.

There's a couple of glitches as well, - most notably you only need 99.6% for 100% !!! (so you might get away with leaving 1 thing out and still get "100%").
There's another which might cost you 0.4% though (the details might be considered a spoiler so I'll leave it out)

I have 90.4% now-- using .42 per item (to make the math a bit easier)

26 balloons, 5 rampages, 4 jumps left....

These should give me left to do...
Balloons - 1.26%
Rampages 2.52% (5 + completed %)
Jumps 2.10% (4 + completed %)
___________
Total 5.88%

90.4+5.88% = 96.28%

3.72% left otherwise or another 8 or 9 tasks...

I have completed each of the empire types to their max levels (6 or 15 depending on which ones)...

I feel as if I've done all the vehicle checkpoints-- guess I'm missing some stuff still.

I was hoping to find more of the balloons and all the rampages--- I did finally beat the north point mall rampage (that one kicked my butt about 30+ times) "kill 70 sharks" -- What were they thinking??

You don't have to destroy all the sharks and bikers businesses do you??-- I own 9 and don't like defending them so don't want to own a 10th-- do I need to destroy theirs?? or destroy and take them over??

I will take this hint (regarding businesses)...
 
Yes you do need to take over ALL 30 business sites for 100%. Doing that should give you another 2.08% (%+ for 10,15,20,25,30 sites owned).
Also make sure you have all the High-Roller outfits unlocked (constructing a High-Roller site for each business type unlocks an outfit and gives %+)

Somehow I found the Mall rampage easy, - I simply stay in the booth and shoot. In fact I've done it several times in a row, - an easy way to boost the gangmembers wasted stat.
But at least 2 of the sniper rampages were pretty annoying.
 
Great... missing less then I thought-- do they stop attacking you-- I seem to remember KM saying they still attack even after beating them all-- are you sure you need to "own" them or do you just have to defeat them?? I only ask since I only yesterday unlocked the "robbery"-- did this by defeating a sharks business that was doing robbery-- but I didn't purchase it.

I'm a high roller on all my businesses I own-- at least one of each type.

That rampage kicked my butt... I either died or would only get around 55 kills everytime--- I tried staying in the booth many times.... the time I beat it I stayed in the booth for the initial onslaught (got about 20 kills pretty quick) then kept moving and used distance from them-- I ended up outside near the health pickup but didn't need it... I didn't have more then 2 seconds on the clock when I got my last kill.
 
Yes I'm sure you need to OWN all 30 sites for 100%. (If you don't buy it then a rival gang usually picks it up pretty quick anyway)

As for stopping attacks, - the most popular method is saving and reloading! your save. That will usually stop the death squads and attacks on your sites until you reinitiate hostilities.
I've found that completing storyline missions usually also stops attacks.

But the whole thing is a bit of mystery to me, - some times an angry stare can set off never ending attacks at other times you can take over 10 sites without seeing any attacks at all.
