Mission Race: IA-1 is pure agony

I have seriously spent the last three hours trying to get gold on this. It seems to be impossible, even though the car is pretty fast and handles well. I cut corners, I tried both manual and auto, with and without driving line, and both first and third person view and still I am about 0.6 seconds from gold. I've been golding everything else on licenses and mission races within a few tries, until now. Has anyone golded this yet?

Yeah i golded it, just takes time, patience and good racing
