Well, PS3 may be out already, but I am still playing this little game on PS1 called Ridge Racer Type 4. Now you all may think this is just an old arcade game which doesn't worth any attention nowadays, but I think otherwise. It's one of the games that I play when taking 'sabbatical' breaks from GT, and believe me, I'm still nowhere near completing it. Which brings us to my problem (and the reason I'm creating this thread).
My goal is to collect ALL the cars (320+1 PacMan car) in the game WITHOUT any cheats, and it has proven to be insert thread title so far. Especially with teams RTS & DRT. I've collected all of MMM & PRC cars and around halfway thru RTS and a quarter thru DRT.
I've read somewhere on gamefaqs that without cheats it wouldn't be possible to collect all the cars and I think that's almost true. Some of the races are physically impossible to do (like RTS & DRT's Extra Trials). So I'm wondering if any of you hardcore gamers here in GTP have done it (collecting all cars) without cheats. If you have can you please please share what driving techniques you use and any other tips which might be important?
