This is the original great grandfather of the Lancer Evo. The Colt 1000F became Mitsubishi's first ever rally car.[6] The company which would go on to score multiple World Rally Championshipsand Dakar Rally wins began with an unexpected class victory, and fourth place overall, in the 1967 Southern Cross Rally in Australia with a 1000F fastback.
