Looking more like a Chevrolet Tahoe, or Blazer from 1990, the transformation from RAV4 to Buddy is convincing, with the small Toyota SUV getting an entire new front-end that now features a prominent upright chrome grille and stacked headlight arrangement, plus the introduction of period-correct chrome bumpers and overriders.

I know Mitsuouka has never cared about design consistency in the past, and I'm probably being sensitive because I immediately recognized them as not belonging to that body shape before anything else, but there has to be something that they could have yanked off a shelf that would have fit that body better than ATS Coupe taillights.

I really like it, such an interesting side profile and it has oddly captured that American retro thing better than some of the US brands have with their recent offerings.

Nice to see that Mitsuouka is still knocking about, and it's probably the first car from them that isn't absolutely hideous

Mitsuoka must be deathly allergic to good car design, they’ve not made a single car that didn’t look like some April Fool’s render from some major car manufacturer.

I don't completely hate it, I think it's done quite well actually.
But maybe it's just me, gotta love the looks of a lightly modernized classic Blazer
