Makeshift Shuffle - No Tuning RacesOpen

Nice putting that massive glt estate behind that beautiful Japanese car.
The PAO?
The granola car?
It's the kind of car I'd see at the trail head at a state park back in the 80s, and long-haired young men would get out with backpacks. :odd:

(I was secretly in love with them all.)

It wasn't too bad I thought.
Mostly it was just @Chiochan having an outdated Vintage list. :ouch:

Append:
Though I have a confession to make. At least once per session, the race starts and I think - oh no, what car am I in? :boggled: Did I switch to the correct car? :nervous:

You youngins with your smart phones & stuff.
I use paper & an ink pen.
Yeah well times change . But no I'm not saying there's anything wrong with doing it that way I'm just saying it's more convenient. I mean its right in front of me, I don't have to keep track of the lists and I don't have to make sure I have the updated lists since I always have the updated list in front of me. You gotta admit there are a lot of advantages :P.

:gtplanet:
Paper comes double sided. I keep it on the desk in front of me. Never runs out of batteries. And I write in pencil.
You make a good point but I usually have an outlet nearby and I have it plugged in or it's already mostly charged. If it makes you feel better i record my times for the cars when I test them on paper :D. Paper just can't be beat for something like that .

Put me down for Thursday and Saturday this week. The schedule looks good right now and if anything changes, I will let you know. I've got to get used to driving with the Euros sometime.

As a side note. Getting the Volvo at GT Arena is just not fair in any way, shape, or form.:D

If you could get it to go sideways through the turns it might block everyone from passing you. 💡

The problem with that is when you get it, you are already starting toward the back of the field and the track isn't fast enough to get it to turn sideways. I could have probably kept HusamOne behind me for the race but I didn't feel he should have to suffer for my bad luck of drawing the car so I let him go.

Nothing about this format is fair.
It's kind of like gambling really. I think that's why shuffle racing is so addictive.

And if you've been baffled by the Volvo Estate or Skyline 67...
Just wait til you see the new list we're cooking up.
It's going to include a pick up truck, the Lancia Stratos & the Renault 5 Turbo with the independently moving wheels. :scared:

Not to mention the 300c in the Luxury list. :boggled:

Haha nope, no fairness but a loooot of fun! The best part is when you get a real bad car/track combo and manages to make the absolute most out of it. :)

OP looks even cleaner now, good job Melon! Sign me up for the Saturday race. Since I lucked in to winning that last time I guess I should try keeping myself up there. :P

Right ... I have just acquired the low power list... all looking resplendent in matt yellow with classic steel wheels highlighted in raspberry red pearl.

The final car took me to the 300 car mark in my car collection!

I must say, this list is a typical melon mixture of the sublime:bowdown: & the ridiculou:yuck:s!!! I do of course realise that one man's sublime is another (wo)man's ridiculous!!!

I have of course fitted comfort softs on all cars as I certainly would never be foolish enough to turn up with the wrong tyres on.:banghead::embarrassed:

See y'all tomorrow.

Ill sign up for the 2 races this week. Sorry I have not had time to test cars for you wm, between work, my drag racing team and your races my plate is kinda full.
PS looking forward to see which truck yall picked.

I still plan on racing on Saturday, I'll grab the cars I don't have when I get home in a few.

Went with the pimp-y gold chrome paint...

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ules-next-event-thursday.293390/#post-9071860

I've been cooking up 2 more lists...
More info to come.
I'll let peeps know when thigns have been narrowed down. for those who have the time and the interest to help test.

Right now we're still testing cars to add to the Luxury list...

I happen to love test driving cars so I had a ball today testing a bunch!
I just wish it wasn't quite so time consuming to change cars... or to buy them and such in the first place. I always try to do 2 things at once ... like when I'm changing oil & such, I'm organizing my paper lists. :boggled: (or folding laundry  :odd:)

I'll be ready to race if you have anything for this upcoming Tuesday????? No more going into work on my days off and missing out on some good racing. Maybe do the same cars for Tuesday, but different tracks????

This series looks like a lot of fun! I'd like to sign up for the Thursday and Saturday events, if I may. All the low-power cars are lined up in my favourites and ready to go, obnoxiously gloriously drenched in Reflex Spice.

This will be my first foray into online racing, by the way, so staying out of trouble will be my absolute top priority. Looking forward to these races!
