Mixing FF drive car tires

do you guys mix front wheel drive cars like you do with rear wheel drive?

and how so? does the rear tires really matter what you put in the rear?

I tried really Super soft in the front and Super hard in the rear and it felt like the car oversteared.

cuz i know on rear wheel drive cars, you ususaly do a setup like Front - Hard Rear-Superhard, because the rear wears out alot faster.

how would you setup a front wheel drive car?

Try putting one grade harder on the front than the rear to keep tyre longevity. If you're not interested in tyre longevity and want to get a "pointy" car (i.e. you want a good turn-in and low understeer) you could try putting a grade softer on the front than the rear. This will, as you've already found out, increase oversteer though, so going to the extreme of putting R5s on the front and R1s on the rear is a bit silly, as you'll only end up with a totally out of balance car. You could always just match the tyres up and try to adjust your driving style to cater though.

I usually try and put the softest grade tyre I can on the rear of an FF car, and then set the rear toe angle to give sharp steering without excessive oversteer. 👍

I've actually found a lot of success putting either S3's or R5's on the rear and S1's or R1's (respectively) on the front, and then trying to kill off the rears to a certain point to increase oversteer in FF's.

no matte wat i did i couldn't get the rear to warm up at all so i just put the same grade on front and back for even grip.

my lap times actually dropped.

This is a good question when using normal tires for maxing out A spec points.
Does it make it easier to win the races if you put N3 on the back with N1 on the front?
I am struggling to win races with N1 on the front of any FWD car, does not matter what I have on the back.
Any body have any tuning tricks to get the front to turn in with N1's fitted.?

How about using the hand (e) brake? I don't mean using it to aid entry or mid-corner turn in, but, to increase tyre wear.

Since you can't get flat spots in the game I like to hold it down the straights (it looks really cool on the replays BTW!!) and eventually you'll have less grip on the rears than the fronts.. :D

Just something fun I like to do with FF's as they can be boring to watch... lol
