Ok, I have been building hybrids in GT3 for about 9 months, and I have always wondered about one main issue.....

Using MK's.......

Example:

WRX STI Sedan Version VI
Ruf RGT

If I was to take the RGT Boxer (rear mounted) engine, and swap it into the WRX (front engine AWD), would the handling characteristics change accordingly? Like as in, the weight transfer, and center of gravity.......

Or, does that happen when you change the drivetrain?

I'm in the process of making some decisions on some hybrid projects, and I would really appreciate any info.......

I do not believe the weight transfer will differ. the center of gravity will still be the same. As the engine will still be mounted in the front of the Subaru. The handling will only change if you alter the drivetrain.

So if I put an NSX engine in a Honda civic, the engine weight will remain in the front? That's good to hear, because there are quite a few engine swaps I have in mind, and alot of them could screw up the balance of the car, if the situatuion were otherwise.........
