I've seen a lot of threads discussing the highest credits and XP per minute. I'm more inclined to go back and use some of my lower powered cars that I haven't had the opportunity to use much to "grind" at a slower pace and for more fun.

Has anyone researched races for 300 - 500 HP cars that have decent payouts?

Though I fully agree with you, on my planet a 500 HP car does not count as a "lower powered car" :sly:
 
Agreed! And neither does 300 HP!

But I've got a lot of cars in my garage in this range (and lower) that I'd like to use more to grind instead of the having to use the 900 HP race cars.
 
One thing that helps me to do this is to stop focusing on races with max credits or exp. Then I just find a car I want to use, and look to see if there's an appropriate race for them.

I've personaly been using the european series in the expert races. Its good for using most all "lower powered" european cars.
 
You know, this is exactly what I am doing as well. Key for me isn't being first to Level 60 or 80. It is enjoying the damn game. :sly:
 
I personally love blowing through Tokyo R246 with the FGT to see how low of a lap time I can get. I generally run whatever race has that course and allows race tires. Granted this isn't a low power car or low level race, but I do it for the same reason - pure fun and not credits or cash payout.

I'm a huge fan of just running laps on the 'Ring with cars I bought simply because I love them, and not because they're the best for the job (Audi B5 S4, MKIII Supra Turbo, Toyota 2000GT, Lotus 111R (non-RM) as examples). Great if I win money, but even better to see my lap times dropping.
 
for the low powered car races if you don't care about credits or xp do the lupo cup race on the ring.
