Hello everyone!
I'd like to share a small project that I've been working on for Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec
Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec was released in Japan on April 28, 2001. Compared to the NTSC-U version, the Japanese release includes several differences, such as changes to the currency, opening videos, events, and other game content.
One of the most notable differences is the Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo GT-1 '00, a JGTC race car that appears in the Japanese version but is absent from the NTSC-U and PAL releases.
After spending some time modifying the American version's game files, I managed to restore the Diablo as a fully playable car and as the original prize from the Japanese version of the game.
Unfortunately, I couldn't make him the same opponent as in the Japanese version.
Compatibility
✔ Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec NTSC-U v1.0
✔ Compatible with existing save data (backing up your save file is recommended)
⚠ Most cheat codes are not compatible with this mod. However, some cheats may still work.
✘ NTSC-U v1.1 (not tested)
✘ PAL (not supported)
If you want to get the car quickly just to test it, use the save file (GT3DIABLO.ps2) and to win it, use the cheat (Max Series Points by Code Master, Instant Win Single Races - Simulation) to quickly pass the races in the SCUS-97102_85AE91B3.pnach file from the zip archive.
Win the Professional All Japan GT Championship (1/4 chance)
Win the Endurance Mistral 78 Laps (1/4 chance)
Special thanks to ddm999, Nenkai, and pez2k for developing the Gran Turismo 3 modding tools that made this project possible.
Although this mod has been tested, there may still be undiscovered bugs. If you encounter any issues, please report them in this thread.
This is one of my first Gran Turismo 3 modding projects. I'm still learning, so any feedback, suggestions, or bug reports are greatly appreciated.
Enjoy!
