THEME:

Theme: Scale difference. Two or more cars together, each being a different scale - e.g. 1:18, 1:32, 1:xx etc...

TW's is just fabulous, the lighting and the depth of the photo works really well especially in keeping with the theme. Nice work, hope to see more like that from you!

Thanks a lot Speedy, I will be sure to enter whenever I can. You got my vote, great lighting on the Murcielago. 👍

Thanks, I was quite pleased with the Murcielago, and less keen on the Countach's lighting. It took multiple attempts to get it how it's seen there. Maybe if I'd kept doing it for a bit longer then I might of nailed the lighting on both cars. Anyway thanks for the vote!

Oh, I know it's so tricky. I did a shot similar for the decade apart theme (I think)...I just build a temporary "studio" in my room with paper and then use my desklight...with a little "trick" filter on the light. In that case...a water bottle. XD

Seems a interesting effect you have there! The only thing I would say is to make sure your surface is level, you see the Enzo in the back left in my own eyes doesn't look level to the ground for some reasons. Which kind of creates a less realistic look.

For my studio I have a large corrugated card box which has been essentially gutted, the top of the box has been removed to provide a hole so then I can play around with the angle of lighting etc. Also I covered each side in white paper (double sided sticky taped to the sides). Then at the back I get another bit of white card and create a curve so then there is no definitive line to where one piece of card joins the other. I basically then tend to cover the top hole with a white shirt or bed sheet or something to diffuse the light which is then coming in to the studio as it creates a smoother and cleaner effect. If I'm doing effects with lighting such as the torch light then I take the sheet off. Because of the white sides of the studio it means it makes the actual car seem more lighter as the light is being refracted off each side. I'll post a picture of my setup sometime. I'm sure it would be helpful to some people. 👍

I don't really mind it not being level, I found it interesting. I wasn't aiming for realism. I don't think it would work any other way. As I said, it's temporary, the studio. Every week it's new. XD But I manage. I should actually create something like that, or my own set up. But...I don't really need it at this point.

And yes, I can imagine some people could use a photo of the set-up. Make it really hard for me to win! XD
