I don't know if this is possible or feasible, but...

How about notifying thread-starting users in the GT4 forum when their threads have been accepted or rejected, with a reason (possibly the moderators could select from a drop down, pre-set list) why it's been rejected?

Maybe? :D
 
You haven't had a few threads rejected have you Famine :sly:?

I think it would atleast help if a PM was sent (Automatically) notifying whether it's been accepted or rejected.

But I think a compulsory reason will be too much. Unless the moderators allow people to PM them asking why.
 
Of the 20 or so today, I've rejected, many were questions like "I've got a red steering wheel, will it work with GT4?" I've got the "XXX car what do you think?" and "I want XXX car, where do I win it?". Even better, one I just rejected said "I just bought a DFP and how do I disable the Force feedback?" And another one "I'm writing a step by step license test, the link is below" (No link given). "Hey, what's the difference between DFP and the Blue wheel?" and better yet, "Why can't I put a Turbo/Supercharger/NA upgrade on XXX car?"

Do I need to justify any one of these rejected threads? Do I want to spend the time to write up why I rejected them?

It'd be a great idea if there was a "You've been rejected" PM that was automatically generated when doing so.

The "reason" part was merely an additional thought - but the PM is the crux. It stops people asking why their threads haven't appeared, and gives people an idea of what questions won't get approval.
 
Ahhh...possibly something vB could add into their next version.

i do like the idea about haveing a list of reasons why it was rejected.

I dont think ive had any rejected though ive only made 2 or 3 i think.

I also doubt the mods/admins would want to manually send messages to people saying why their thread has been rejected; or even just sending a message saying it's been rejected.

Although the mods/admins could have a good load of fun with some of the newer people submitting "horrificly newbish" topics if they wanted to; the creativity and the cruelty that could be possible too...:scared:

Relax, he was just giving examples of what you were saying that's all. It's cool.
 
I've posted about four topics in there (and four duplicate topics at the GTX) but only one of them was approved. The approved one didn't get hardly any replies (same deal at the GTX) though, while at Gran Turismo X the other three are doing quite well which they would have done here as well.

Sorry if I offended you XVII I was just kidding around, running with your idea of cruel admin messages.
