This forum seems quite less attractive with the micro-management and the locking of threads like you Supervisors have been handing out. I don't understand your process or your policy but you locked a thread for mentioning Gran Turismo 6. I was about to respond and it would have made for a very interesting thread. It would be in your better interest and for a better community if you Moderators had a more Laissez Faire approach. Threads, even such as the one mentioning GT6, are one's that are going to gain this forum a greater deal of attention from PD. On a 160 million dollar title, Sony might find room to budget for a forum but not if it serves them no marketing or research purposes. I'm going to take a break from this site. If this is still an issue in the future then I will cease to be a user.

But what do I know, I am simply a Macroeconomist and a marketing consultant.

I know one thing, this thread's about to be locked. And rightfully so. You don't need to start a new thread in an inappropriate place to start grand standing. There's a whole forum devoted to feedback. Why don't you express your concerns there.

If you wish to contact a moderator, please do so privately. Creating public threads isn't going to rally forum members to your cause. It has become a disturbing trend of late that people seem to think they are able to create a public thread speaking out against moderator action in an attempt to get a decision reversed. While there are conditions under which decisions may be repealed, "I don't like what you're doing" and/or "I think I know better" is not one of them. If you do not like the way the forums are being run, then you are free to leave. No-one is forcing you to stay. But don't think that you leaving is somehow going to make us see the perceived error of our ways. The forums are being run the same way as they have been since the day they were founded. We see no reason to change our methods, because we know our methods work. If anything, a laissez-faire approach will only lead to the eventual destruction of the forums. If we start allowing people to ignore the AUP with regards to grammar, sooner or later we'll have to allow them to start ignoring other rules about other things.

With regards to your problem, threads are closed for four reasons:
1) They are duplicates of existing discussions
2) They serve no purpose as there is nothing to be discussed in them
3) They are wildly off-topic and/or inappropriate for the subforum they are created in
4) They have become bloated with abuse and/or AUP violations

As for this thread, it's somehow managed to tick three of the four boxes.
