Do you want to race the new Porsche 963?

OK, then, here's your chance!

Soon after creating Monday Night Racing, over 14 years ago now, I set a new mandate to offer our races as a medium to help drivers improve overall by setting attainable but tough challenges for those who want to do more than what you normally find on-line. Hundreds of GT Planet members look in on each week's races, here, wondering - should I join in on these? If you want to challenge yourself, of course you should.

I appreciate those of you who have stuck with us doing this all of these years. You are well prepared to handle the next set of races. The Porsche 963 will be doing a fair bit of the heavy lifting, since it is a well behaved car, but the rest is up to us.

The first track will be our eye-opener. The second track has elevation changes and not many fast curves. And the third one? Well... come prepared!

On top of the races, we will also be introduced to GT7's new hybrid damage model - Championship! It takes less to trigger a penalty, but the damage is pro-rated. The damage is removed according to the severity of the crime. If it works out well after a good amount of live testing, it will likely stay as our default damage setting. So, if you are tired of being bashed around on-line, you want to test this with us on Monday!

Because the 963 should attract unsuspecting interlopers into our lobby, I want to test how it works at stopping dive-bombing in particular.

Car: Porsche 963 Protype 2024, 670 HP, 2271 lbs, Tires: Racing Medium, Intermediate, Wets, (target PP @ default D/f = 857.98, Max = 888 PP at max D/f)

Add only the Racing Transmission.

There will be night racing.

Barcelona No Chicane, Tires = 7X* Fuel = 7X**, (10)

Spa 24-hour layout - Rolling starts, Refuel rate = 6X
1st race: Tires = 7X Fuel = 7X**, (8 laps daylight)
2nd race: Tires = 8X** Fuel = 8X, (20 minutes), with 4 weather segments: Dry, Light Rain, Torrential Rain, Random
Two evening laps, then night. Expect 9 laps.
