I know there are a lot of smart people on this forum and I'm hoping someone can answer these questions. I work in a warehouse that does digital printing on 60" wide printers. My mother-in-law handles the downloading of pictures and photoshop tasks. The problem she is having is her monitor shows different colors than the printers are printing. Does she need a better monitor or how do you combat that? If she does need a new monitor what would be a good choice? Also would an SSD help with loading the thumbnails in her main picture file? The computer shop that built her PC did not put one in:dunce: Thanks for any help.:)

You should either hire a local tech to calibrate for you or purchase one of these:

Might find them cheaper on ebay/craigs. They tend to get used once lol.

You could buy a better monitor; but odds are you will still need to calibrate it. For home/personal use color differences aren't typically that important. For a professional setting like you are in... well you know.

An SSD would help immensely.

Thanks for the help. That's what I've been telling her about the SSD. Now I have some backup. The monitor she is using now is an older Acer 22" 1680x1050 running on vga.
