Heeey Guys !!
I'm from Portugal, but im living in Switzerland.

This Summer i'm going to do a Trip with some friends of me to Monza and Nürburgring nordschleife.

We all will drive Hondas ;)

Like CR-X, EG6, Integras etc.

i'm going with my Civic EK4 97 with ~250hp , and this is going to be FUUUN 👍
Some of my Friends is going with his 1070kg Integra Type R ~290 HP Supercharged !! :D (Killed a Evo 9 with 350hp):scared:

I think we are going to have alot of FUN :sly:

Well, my friend, if you are planning on driving the Nordschleife for real this summer, please do yourself a favour and put a lid on aggressive driving and "racing your mates" around the Ring.👎 NO-ONE just turns up there and masters 170 odd corners and 1000 metres of gradients. And driving 1,000's of GT5 virtual laps do not prepare you for the extreme cornering forces, bumps, jumps and variable grip levels you will encounter.....

1. Ensure that your brakes, tyres, suspension, hydraulics, and cooling system are in good shape.

2. Remember that if you crash or break down on the Ring, you will be responsible for recovery costs and Armco repairs, plus the cost of closing the road whilst your car is recovered. And if you are involved in an accident, the local Politzei will likely interview you with a view to prosecution.

3. Always keep to the right when faster traffic is catching you, and ONLY overtake on the left. Give bikes some room when approaching corners, because they approach the apex of corners differently to cars.....👍

4. Remember that the local guys in their Opel Corsas, VW Golfs and Japanese hatchbacks know the racing line there, and will eat you for breakfast into and out of corners, whatever you have under the bonnet....:ouch:

5. Spectate at a couple of corners (Breidscheid is a great spot) before buying a few laps. Better still, ask a driver whose car has a Ring sticker if he minds you having a pax lap.

6. Enjoy! :)

Nordschleife is always fun ! Driving or just viewing.
In case you havent been there before, read every of Steely Dans advices. Especially # 2 and #3.
The Ring also has a couple of Web pages clarifying all the rules just in case...

Enjoy !

Edit: First time in life my envy to swiss people is gone. I always need to drive about 5-6 hours for skiing whereas im at the Ring in 1 hour or less. Compairing this to friends in Bern or Zürich we are even :)

There are plenty of "How not to drive the Ring videos out there (crashes); even at LOW speed" The ring is VERY trickey. Be VERY careful. But yeah, it's something I hope to do someday in the not-too distant future!

Just be careful! The best thing to do is go out in the car on your own, not with your mates as passengers as you (subconsciously) try and drive quicker and show off a bit, I'm not calling you a show off we all do it. Don't go trying to beat your fastest times as it will end in tears. Other than that, listen to what Dan has said and enjoy the awesome track and atmosphere around the circuit :)

Thank you Guys for those Tipps ! I already know those things, but is always better to listen to it again :)

I'm very Excited !

I one day would love to just spend a summer with an instructor to try and get the track down. First things first, I need a license. -.-
