Is it just me? Or is my thinking ok when I say that I have no problem using the credit glitch, whereas I was totally opposed to hacks. I see it in a way that hacks you were cheating against fellow gamers and ruining many online rooms just by being there. I do not have an issue with a glitch that can help me build a good garage by getting credits that is basically a stance against microtranactions

Well technically, you are exploiting the glitch, so it goes under cheating. Unless you are the first person who found out about the glitch, if you actively participated in it knowing the end result and your actions, then you cheated.

I don't really care if people cheat.

It sounds to me like you are trying to put some justification to doing this glitch. It's your game, you can do what you want with it as long as you don't ruin other people's experience. With this particular glitch, you aren't killing my fun nor anyones, so its no big deal. People who did this glitch used that platform to take a "stance" against MT. You don't need to glitch to stand against MT, doing the glitch itself doesn't mean you might be against MT. I hate MT and I don't glitch.

As long as you don't gain an unfair advantage in terms of racing, no biggie.

How do you not gain an advantage? With unlimited funds you can have whatever cars you want. This allows you to spend wildly to find the best car for each circuit, ect. Anybody not using the glitch will be limited to a few vehicles, which may or may not be what suits them best.

If you're so eager to have "all the cars you want , not need " ,then I see no problem. I'm quite happy with 55 cars in a week and rest will follow in a months to come. Only grip i had with this glitch is that all the kids will again run online with racing cars they can't handle > I bet there will be more broken cars threads :D

At the end of the day. If you play offline, it doesn't matter.

If you play online, then you can do whatever you want as long as your cars are tuned within the limits of the game.

If you feel that you'd rather spend your time running and trying, that's cool. But if you think you'd get more out of the game by "earning" the credits, that's about the only reason to not do it.

I see it as a stance against Micro-transactions and how GT6 almost forces you to use them.

Personally I have no issue with it whatsoever and I find threads debating the morality and legality of exploiting a glitch in a videogame hilarious. Even the issue of ruining someone else's game is just a generic issue that applies more to personal behaviour than anything to do with this glitch. "Don't ruin someone else's game" is a rule we should all follow isn't it? Glitching doesn't change that.

The point is you could gain the same advantage by throwing (real) money at the game. How fair is that? If we're not careful then in a few years the leaderboards are going to be topped by those who can afford to buy their way there rather than players who have the skills or the talent! How much more divisive is that?

Glitching is neither the problem or the solution. Micro transactions are the thing we should be concerned about not just for Gt 6 but for the future of serious gaming.

No updates from PD or Sony itself. So I would say no. Probably as we speak PD is frantically trying to work out how to fix the revenue they are losing.

Actually, if PD didn't make it nearly impossible to have a resonably stocked garage people would be doing this. At my last count, to duplicate my GT5 garage (without the duplicate cars) I would likely need something around 160-200 million... without MT or gliching it would take roughly 66 weeks of grinding (80% grinding 20% online play) to stock up the garage. That's insane. The credit/incentive model is the real problem.

The same morality question should be asked to PD or SONY or the genius that came up with the idea of low paying races.
They have no problem scamming their loyal (and casual) customer for thir money... so why would those who use a glitch have a problem with it. I call it settling the score.

The last time I looked GT6 was a racing simulation game 20,000,000 credits buys a lot of nice cars but no amount of money buys quicker lap times in a race that has equal performance points talent is talent and driving a go cart or a 20,000,000 monster requires the same skill set if you spend time working your craft then you will be quicker end of story!! If you want more cars, glitch away, more power to you! If you want to be fast actually drive your glitches MORE!!!!

Another sim related issue when I buy a real car e.g.Audi TT if I have another garage I don't have to buy another Audi TT to put in it!! I park my same car in both garages.PD,s loyal customer base bought gt5 for $60 and these are the same people buying gt6 for $60 for gods sake transfer the same car owned in one game to the next do not make your loyal customer base have to buy the same cars again. That is just assanine logic but yet it's the exact buisiness model that has been followed from gt2 to todays gt6 STOP IT NOW!!!!
